The freshmen math contest is coming up this Thursday and Friday during homeroom.  Find a partner and come and play for food, fame, and fortune!  See your homeroom teacher to sign up today!
Seniors, it is time to check your name for your diploma.  See Mrs. Startzer in the office to make sure that your name is spelled correctly

Come and support the freshman and sophomore class officers on Friday after school! They will be selling bakery made cupcakes for $2!! You will not want to miss out!! 

The RHS READERS Book Club will meet this Friday, October 24th during all three lunches in the back of the media center.  Stop by if you need a pass.  We will be talking about October reads -- horror, sci fi, mystery, paranormal.  See you there!

SENIORS:  If you plan to graduate in May of 2015 and want your name to be printed correctly on the back of the senior class T-shirt, check the list in Ms. Rowley's room (B220), in Mrs. Honz's room (B206), in the main office on the counter by Mrs. Lewis's desk, or in your senior English class.  Please follow the directions that are posted along with the list of names.  You need to correct your name on only one list.  Please check your name by the end of the day on Friday.

SENIORS:  Be sure to check the T-shirt designs posted in the office window facing the commons. You will vote on the designs in homeroom later this week.

National Honor Society will meet THIS week.  NHS members please plan on attending one of the two meetings offered.  We will be discussing the upcoming year, induction, service learning projects and more . The meeting is in B208 onThursday at 3:30 p.m. OR Friday at 7:30 a.m. Just a reminder that NHS meetings are held the 2nd and 4th week of every month. If you are unable to attend, please contact Ms. Stark ASAP as per the attendance policy.


HOSA meeting today, October 21 right after school!  We are making decorations for Sweet Treat (community service hours) AND signing up for the Hay Ride this Saturday!  Stop by to help and/or to let us know about the Hay Ride!

Spanish club: We will be planning and building decorations for Sweet Treat night this Thursday and Friday after school.  Check your email or talk to Ms Hoesly for details.
And remember: all the time you put in counts for community service!
RHS Yoga Club is back by popular demand! Join Ms. Oglesby in A109 from 3:30-4:30p on Wednesday, October 22nd for a free yoga class just for students. Come stretch away your stress! Wear comfortable clothing. Mats are provided.
LATINO LEADERSHIP COUNCIL will meet on Wednesday, October 22nd, at 3:30 p.m. in the Media Center.  We will be working on Sweet Treat Night decorations.  Please bring your $2.00.
Attention all Culinary Club members.  This Wednesday, October 22nd, we will have a meeting cooking sweets for a reception.  You can earn service hours for this meeting.  Come to the kitchens (F102) on Wednesday from 3:30 - 5pm.  Be ready to work. 
STUCO officers meet with admin during HR on Thursday.

Notice from the Counseling Office:  Tomorrow, October 22nd is the final day to drop/add a class without taking an "F".

Community Service Opportunity
Community Service Opportunity for 3-4 hours:  If you are interested in walking our local neighborhoods for canned food donations this coming Sunday, stop in Room A120 and sign up to help.  DECA's Hoofin' It for Hunger to Feed Nebraska begins at 1:00 p.m.  Meet in the back parking lot outside the cafeteria.  

College/Career Center
Calling all Juniors and Seniors:  You are invited to visit Wayne State College for free on Wednesday, Nov. 5.   You must be passing your classes, in good standing, without excessive absences & on tract to graduate.  The bus will leave RHS at 8:00 a.m. and return at 2:45 p.m.  You will meet in the Media Center at 7:30 a.m. for doughnuts and instructions for the day.  Sign up w/Mrs. Barker in the Guidance Office.  All students must return a PERMISSION FORM to Mrs. Barker by Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Student Opportunity:
Omaha College Fair - Sunday, Oct. 26, 1-4 p.m. at UNO's Sapp Fieldhouse.  There are 165 colleges participating. Juniors and seniors:  Remember to take your bar codes!
There will be wrestling conditioning  today, Wednesday and Thursday in the auxiliary gym immediately after school.
