The RHS Drama Department announces auditions for the winter play "A Christmas Story".
Tryouts will be held today, October 28th at 3:30pm in the RHS Theatre.  Questions??  See Mr. Uhrmacher in room D112!

Math Club will meet Thurs at 3:25 in A211 to discuss the math contest at UNO this Friday.  If you can not make it, please stop by for important information!  

ATTENTION, ALL SENIORS:  We need a class motto.  Please start looking for an appropriate quote that will best represent the class of 2016.  Submit all quotes to Mrs. Honz (B206) or Ms. Rowley (room B220) by the end of the day on Wednesday, November 4.  Along with the quote, include the source/author of the quote and your name.  The class motto will appear on your graduation announcements.

Students and Staff:  DECA hoofed it Sunday and collected all the food in the A-wing display but now we must meet our goal of 1,000 lbs. of food so we need to fill that case.  We are asking you to bring cans of food to Room A120.  Tell us your homeroom and we will offer a pizza party to the homeroom who donates the most.  Please bring all food by this Friday!!!!  Let's see if RHS can donate 1,000 lbs. of food to the local food bank!!!!!

SENIORS:  Be sure to check the T-shirt designs posted in the office window facing the commons. You will vote on the designs in homeroom on Friday.


On Wednesday November 4th, there will be a cyber security expert, Mr. Ron Woerner, coming to speak to the high school at 2:00 pm in the media center. If you are interested in cyber security or hacking of some sort, and would like to attend, please let Mr. O'Reilly know.  You must sign up prior to November 4th.

Fashion Club will meet today October 28th in A107 from 3:30pm - 4:30.  We will be watching an episode of Project Runway.  Come have a snack and enjoy some fashion drama.  Questions?  Ask Mrs. Krist. 

Culinary Club will meet on Friday October 30th in F102 from 3:30pm - 4:45pm.  We will be whipping up some spooky treats.  Anyone is welcome.  Questions?  Ask Mrs. Krist. 

Are you interested in social justice issues? Are you a mature student with a capacity for excellent leadership skills? Attend this year's Creating Inclusive Communities Student Workshop on Wednesday, November 4th at UNO. Transportation and lunch will be provided for this all-day workshop. You will be excused from your classes for the day.
A Creating Inclusive Communities (CIC) Workshop is a powerful interactive human
relations program for those interested in gaining a greater awareness and deeper 
understanding of our diverse community. These highly interactive workshops help 
participants to gain both foundational and advanced understanding of several areas of difference including race, class, sex, ability, and more.
Participation is limited to 40 students. Email your name and why you'd like to attend the workshop to dene.oglesby@ralstonschools.com no later than Friday, October 30.
French Club: Come celebrate the spooky season with a scary French film about the catacombs! We will enjoy popcorn and drinks from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in A102 on Thursday, October 29. You must sign up in advance with Madame Oglesby in A102!

Become a Student Athletic Trainer! Be involved in RHS athletics, earn service hours, learn about a medical profession, have fun, and meet new people. Must be able to commit to working a regular schedule. Options for after school and events only commitments are available. Duties will include basic taping and wound care, practice/event preparation, and attending RHS practices and events as scheduled. If interested email Co Schneider at colleen.schneider@ralstonschools.org no later than Wednesday November 11th. In your email, please include why you are interested in this opportunity, what type of schedule you are interested in (afternoons, events only, particular sport, etc), and any schedule conflicts you might have.Those students selected to participate during the winter season will be notified by Thursday November 12th. Orientation and training meeting will be held Friday November 13th after school starting at 3:30 for 1-1.5 hours. Winter practices start Monday November 16th.

OMAHA FIRE DEPARTMENT PROGRAM #535

If you interest is in the fire safety and/or emergency medical technician career fields, then join us! The Omaha Fire Dept. invites you to enroll as an Explorer and build a future career through this highly educational and hands-on program. This is a unique opportunity for students to work with real Omaha emergency responders and gain exclusive insight on what they can do now to prepare for this career. The goal is to introduce students to the exciting field of fire-fighting and EMT through hands-on experiences while taking part in community activities and events.

Program Start: November 17th, 2015 from 6:00-7:30pm
