Students: look around the school for the DECA DIAMOND CARDS. Read about DECA and bring the card to Room A120 for a prize. Students may only redeem one card per person. There are 100 cards that will be on the walls the next few days!
National Honor Society will meet THIS week. Current NHS members please plan on attending one of the two meetings offered. We will be discussing the upcoming year, induction, service learning projects and more . The meeting is in B208 today at 3:30 p.m. OR Friday at 7:30 a.m. Just a reminder that NHS meetings are held the 2nd and 4th week of every month. If you are unable to attend, please contact Ms. Stark ASAP as per the attendance policy.
National Honor Society Applicants, you do not attend the meeting this week; however, remember your applications are due on Friday, October 3rd by 3:30pm in their entirety. Please come see Ms. Stark in room B208 to check on teacher evaluations on Wed/Thurs of this week. It is your responsibility to make sure they are all turned in. Thank you in advance.
RHS Readers Book Club will meet this Friday during all three lunch periods in the back of the Media Center. The theme for this meeting is sarcasm/sass, chosen by Ms. Sara (who has been known to be a tad sassy.). If you have questions or need a pass, stop by the media center. Bring a friend and you could win a book. See you there!
There will be a Homecoming tailgate and Pep Rally tonight starting at 5:30. Tickets are available for $3. They will be sold during homeroom and lunch. Freshman and Sophomore class officers will be coming around to explain the Human Hamster Ball class competition that will be taking place during the Pep Rally.
Monday, October 6th - during homeroom seniors and sophomores will meet in the theater with Jostens to discuss class ring orders and graduation orders. Jostens will then be here on Wednesday, Oct. 8th - Friday, Oct. 10th during lunch shifts. They will accept orders during this time.
Students, Jack Martin will be here on Tuesday, October 14th for picture re-takes. They will be here for all 3 lunch shifts. Order forms are available on line under "Parent Access", "Documents", "2014/2015 Student Check in".
Outside date forms are now available in the Main Office for the Homecoming dance on Saturday, October 4th. These forms must be turned in by TODAY, Oct. 2nd.
Students: Just a reminder as we approach the end of Term 1, you are not allowed to miss the last consecutive 3 days of a term with out prior approval from an administrator. Please remember this and plan accordingly.
Families in Need
The Mobile Food Pantry is a traveling food pantry that delivers food directly to families in need for a one-day distribution. The pantry is available to students and families in our area and it is free of charge. The next date for the Food Pantry is October 11 at the Harrison Street Baptist Church, 8015 Harrison St., LaVista. No restrictions. Anyone who needs food is welcomed.
There is a list of new times to arrive, and rotation schedule, so please see the list in the Counseling Office or call Messiah Lutheran Church # 402-331-5510. Please bring your own box or basket.
Students that would like to volunteer may call Messiah Lutheran Church. Please pick up a Community Service form in the office.
College visitation in C/C Center today: Metropolitan Community College at 10:00.
An Army representative will be in the cafeteria today during lunch.
