French Club will be meeting this Thursday at 3:30 in room A101! We will have madeleines with Nutella and play 'tape les mots!' Please sign up on the sheet outside of A101 if you will be attending or see Mme Sivertson if you have any questions.

Would the following students please see Mrs. Lewis in the Main office between classes or after school:
Jailene Gutierrez-Rivas, Geri Smieja, Clifford Walgren, Elizabeth Byrnes, Alyssa Herman, Shalease Ford and Patrick Neville.
Please return your Picture order form for Homecoming Pictures to the school office with payment by Thursday, October 6th. They will be picked up after school that day.  The DVD's will be ready to pick up from the office the following Thursday, October 13th.
Even though payment was made online, the order form will still need to be returned to the office.
Teen Read Week is celebrated October 9-15, but we are celebrating all through the month of October in the Ralston High School Library Media Center.
Since the theme for TRW is "Read for the Fun of It,"  we are inviting students to do just that.  Sign up at the circulation desk to read ONE book during the month of October.  That's it, just one book.  It can't be a book you are assigned for class, but a book that you are going to read "for the fun of it."
Once you've completed that book, your name will go in the drawing to win one of four prizes:   Seniors can win a $20 gas card, Juniors can win a pair of movie tickets, Sophomores can win a $20 Target gift card, and Freshmen can win a $20 Barnes and Noble gift card.
Sign up today!
Student Council will hold its next meeting TODAY, October 4th during Homeroom. Any student is welcome to attend, no matter if you are in a club or not. It is a great way to find out what is going on in the school. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Prochaska or Miss Engel to get a pass to attend!

Spanish Club will be meeting on Wednesday, October 5th at 3:30 in A104.  We will be working on decorations for the room for Sweet Treat Night!  Bring a bag of candy to contribute to the event!  We will also be planning an event to celebrate El dia de los muertos as a group!  Join in on the fun and sign up outside room A104 so we can plan the snacks!
Writing Club: Love to write? If you have a story, poem, song, or essay that you want to share, we would love to listen and give you feedback. Writing club meets every Tuesday in room A103 after school. Brain blocked? Each week we give our writer's block a theme. For next week, write about either of these topics: 1) Find a face in an old yearbook (See Mrs. Olsen in the library for help) and write a story about this character. 2) Write a story about an ordinary object, but use your imagination to make it extraordinary.
Hope to see you there!

Trap Shooting is a great sport to hone your shooting skills.  Hit pottery traveling 43 mph!  Trap is the safest and fastest growing sport in the State.  Kids who attend Ralston can participate on the Gross Trap Shooting Team.  Practice starts after the New Year and the season is 8 weeks, starting in March and goes through State on the first weekend in May.  For more information, contact Coach Chris Horihan at Please note the email change!

Jack Martin Photography will be here on Wednesday, October 26 for re-takes and/or make-up photos.  They'll be here during 3rd period lunches.  Order forms are available online under the Document section at the RHS web page.

Mark your calendar for Sweet Treat Night sponsored by Ralston High School October 27th! The event will go from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM.
