HyVee receipts: Congratulations to Mr. Siske's homeroom for collecting the most receipts again for the month of October! Mrs. Prochaska's homeroom was a runner up and will also get treats!
For the month of November we're doing something a little different! The homeroom with the most increased total from October to November will be our winner! SO - bring in those receipts!!
Culinary Club - it is time for our Chopped Dessert competition this Friday the 20th from 3:30 - 5pm in F102. Form your teams of 3-4 people. Email Mrs. Krist with your group. Questions? Get a hold of Mrs. Krist.
Attention RHS! There is a slam poetry spoken word performance team starting here at Ralston High School! There is an informational meeting Monday, November 23rd right after school in room B207. The Ralston GSA will meet today, 11/19 after school in B208. We will be discussing upcoming events for the year. Anyone is welcome to join, even if they haven't been to a GSA meeting before. The Gender-Sexualities Alliance is a club designed to be a safe place to discuss issues of gender identity, sexual orientation, and other issues surrounding the LGBTQ+ community.
RHS Readers Club is sponsoring a theater takeover for opening night, November 20th, of "Mockingjay, Part 2" -- the final installment of "The Hunger Games" series. We are going to the 7 pm showing at AkSarBen Cinema Let's pack the theater with RHS students, staff, and friends. Stop by the library for details.
Reminder: November 20th is the final day to register for the December ACT. The December ACT is the FINAL score universities will accept for seniors, so make sure you register on time!
Community Service Opportunities
Serene Care Hospice is looking for student volunteers aged sixteen or older to assist patients for as little as one hour a week. This service offers a chance to share stories, assist with small tasks, watching a favorite show, sharing any musical talents you may have to enhance the happiness of their patients. Juniors & Seniors: Our next campus visit will be on Monday, December 7, to UN-Kearney. Doughnuts and instructions will be served in Lec. C at 7:00 a.m., with the bus leaving at 7:30 a.m. and returning at 3:30. Sign up with Mrs. Barker in Guidance. Attendance is limited to the first 30 students who sign up and return their PERMISSION FORMS BY December 1.
