The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet Thursday, January 14th @7:15AM.
The RHS debate team will have a parent meeting on January 20th at 6PM. This will be to discuss the parent volunteers we will need for the February 6th tournament. Please plan on attending with your parents.
Are you looking for community service hours? Mr. Garst and the RHS debate team may be exactly what you need! The debate team will be hosting a tournament on February 6th and is in need of student volunteers. If you're interested, please see Mr. Garst in B208 to sign up. First come, first served.
The Multicultural Club will meet after school on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, in the Media Center.
Do you like trivia questions? Are you looking for a club to add to your day? Quiz Bowl will meet Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-4 in B121. Anyone is welcome. Come check it out. If you have questions see Ms. Hartman in B121.
JANUARY INCLUCITY CAMP: Current and former student delegates please attend a brief meet and greet TODAY from 3:20-3:40p in A102 to go over camp details, what to pack, and camp expectations. You will get a chance to talk to other students who have attended as well as meet this year's faculty advisors, Ms. Hartman and Mr. Garst. Camp Delegates who either must attend or email email@example.com: Teresa Artz, Mikaela Durant, Hannah Lucas, Madison Homan, Nikki Drosche, Lauren Tamayo, Samantha Manhart, Chris Rysedorph, Brandon Estremera-Cruz, Bernando Castellanos, Dominick Corelli, and Jordan Unger.
The French Tutoring Center is available for students without appointment to receive homework assistance, makeup quizzes and tests, or simply review and practice their French skills. It is open every Wednesday from 3:20-4:00 p.m. in A102 starting January 13. If you are an upper-level French student (3-5) and would like to gain valuable peer-tutoring experience and earn community service hours, see Ms. Oglesby for a tutor application.
Winter/Spring Driver's Education will be from January 30th through March 12. Registration will be today, January 12th and Wednesday January 13th from 7:00pm - 8:00pm in the RHS commons area. Registration forms with more information are now available in the main office.
TRAVEL TO FRANCE! Join fellow Ralston French students on our 2017 trip to travel for twelve days, June 5-17, to the Loire Valley, Montpellier, and Paris. Come to our informational meeting on Thursday, January 14th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in A102. Enrollment is open until January 31! See Madame Oglesby or Madame Henry to learn how to sign up!
Our first French Club meeting of the new year will be Friday, January 15 in A101. We will be eating King’s Cake to celebrate L’Epiphanie, and playing the most rousing game of Tape les Mots that has ever transpired in order to honor our crazy and beloved French classmate Reid Adler.
FAIR meetings will meet twice a month instead of once a week this semester. FAIR is Ralston's diversity club that promotes inclusion and social justice awareness. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like to be on our email list for updates. Our January meetings will be Tuesday, January 19 and Monday, January 25 from 3:30-4:30pm in A102.
Attention Juniors & Seniors: Out next campus visit will be to Wayne State College on Thursday, Jan. 21. Doughnuts and instructions will be served in Lec. Room C at 7:30 a.m. with the bus leaving RHS at 8:00 and returning at 2:30. Sign up with Mrs. Barker in Guidance. Attendance is limited to the first 30 students who sign up and return their permission forms by Thursday, January 14.
A Financial Aid Meeting for Senior Parents will be presented by Victor Garcia of EducationQuest at Ralston High School. Victor will guide you through the ins and outs of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and answer your questions about financial aid for college. Date=Wednesday, Jan. 13. Location= RHS Lecture Room C, Time=5:30 p.m. - English speaking & 7:00 p.m. - Spanish speaking. Those attending will also be eligible for a chance to win a $500 scholarship for your student at a Nebraska college.
GIRLS TRACK: Preseason conditioning for girls NOT currently out for a winter sport will begin today, Jan. 12, after school. Conditioning will be every Tuesday and Thursday until the season starts. Meet in Coach Brockhaus' room A211 at 3:35 ready to go! Questions? See Coach Brockhaus.
There will be an informational meeting for any BOYS interested in participating in Track and Field on Wednesday in Lec C. right after school.
