This Friday, January 15, R-Pantry, Ralston High School's food bank will open. For the time being, it will be open every Friday after school until 4:00. The purpose of R-Pantry is to provide Ralston students with food to take home. R-Pantry will be staffed by teachers. If you have questions, you can talk to Ms. Hartman, Ms. Engel, Ms. Hefflinger, Madame Oglesby, Ms. Raders, or Dr. Boster.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet Thursday, January 14th @7:15AM.
The RHS debate team will have a parent meeting on January 20th at 6PM. This will be to discuss the parent volunteers we will need for the February 6th tournament. Please plan on attending with your parents.
Are you looking for community service hours? Mr. Garst and the RHS debate team may be exactly what you need! The debate team will be hosting a tournament on February 6th and is in need of student volunteers. If you're interested, please see Mr. Garst in B208 to sign up. First come, first served.
The Ralston Gender/Sexualities alliance will meet for the first time this semester on Thursday the 21st. We will be discussing the National Day of Silence and the other GSA events.
Come to SPANISH CLUB next Wednesday (Jan. 20) and find out what uvas (grapes) have to do with the New Year! As always - food and fun! All are welcome!
Do you like trivia questions? Are you looking for a club to add to your day? Quiz Bowl will meet Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-4 in B121. Anyone is welcome. Come check it out. If you have questions see Ms. Hartman in B121.
TRAVEL TO FRANCE! Join fellow Ralston French students on our 2017 trip to travel for twelve days, June 5-17, to the Loire Valley, Montpellier, and Paris. Come to our informational meeting on Wednesday, January 20 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in A102. Enrollment is open until January 31! See Madame Oglesby or Madame Henry to learn how to sign up!
Does kayaking, zip-lining, horseback riding, relaxing in a hot spring and on a beach sound good to you? Join our group from RHS that is going to Costa Rica in June 2017! For more information just ask Sra. Plugge or Honke and grab a flyer outside A104. $100 off the price until March of this year! A payment plan is available and you have over a year to save. It is possible!
Our first French Club meeting of the new year will be Friday, January 15 in A101. We will be eating King’s Cake to celebrate L’Epiphanie, and playing the most rousing game of Tape les Mots that has ever transpired in order to honor our crazy and beloved French classmate Reid Adler.
FAIR meetings will meet twice a month instead of once a week this semester. FAIR is Ralston's diversity club that promotes inclusion and social justice awareness. BOYS GOLFERS: Please check your gmail from Coach Kosch regarding out-of-season golf practice starting Thursday, January 14th. Information was recently sent to each of you.
GIRLS TRACK: There will be preseason conditioning for girls NOT out for a winter sport after school TODAY! Meet in Coach Brockhaus' room A211 by 3:35. We should be done by 4:30 or so today.
There will be a Girls Tennis meeting on Wednesday, January 20th at 3:30-3:45 in room A119 (Coach Siske's room). If you cannot attend please see Coach Siske or Coach Prochaska.
