SENIORS:  Buy your tickets to the senior lock-in!  The lock-in is Friday, February 5 after the varsity boys basketball game until 1:30 A.M.  Buy your ticket from any senior class officer, Mrs. Honz in room B206, or Ms. Rowley in B220 by the end of the day on Wednesday, February 3.  No tickets will be sold at the door.  This event is for Ralston High School seniors only.  

Due to Parent-Teacher Conferences, there will be no Quiz Bowl today 1/26. We will resume Thursday in B121 from 3:30-4:00. See Ms. Hartman with questions. 

FCA will meet
 this Thursday morning @ 7:15am in room C107!  Everyone is welcome to come for breakfast, prayer, bible study, and fellowship!

The blood drive is this Friday!  So far we still need 42 more donors to meet our goal!  Appointment wrist bands will be handed out Tuesday and Thursday during homeroom.
The wrist bands are something new and are in place of an appointment card.

hosa...future health professionals will be meeting today after school.  Be ready to decide on what events you are doing at State HOSA and be making your Valentines for our veterans!

If you signed up to volunteer for the debate tournament on February 6th, there will be a meeting on February 3rd immediately after school from 3:15-3:45 to discuss jobs and what time to show up. If you're still interested in getting community service hours, contact Mr. Garst and he will put you on a wait list. 
Attention Culinary Club members:  We will meet this Friday the 29th  after school until 5:00pm in F102.   We will be creating apple swan garnishes and other vegetable garnishes.  If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Krist. Bon Appetit. 
RHS Post Prom Fundraiser!  Wednesday, January 27th at the Pizza Hut at 84th and Q St from 4:00pm - 8:00pm!  Just mention RHS post prom when you order and Pizza Hut will donate 20% of the sales to our post prom!

Student Council will be meeting this Wednesday right after school! We will be planning our February events. Hope to see you there! Let Ms. Hefflinger or Ms. Engel know if you cannot attend! 
College/Career Center
Attention Juniors and Seniors:  Our next campus visit will be on Thursday, February 4th to Methodist and Clarkson Colleges.  Take this time to explore the opportunities provided by both these amazing schools.  You will meet in Lec. Room C at 8:00 for refreshments and instructions for the day.  The bus will leave at 8:30 and return to RHS at 3:00.  Sign up with Mrs. Barker in the Counseling Office.
Student Opportunities:  
Omaha World Herald Exploring Program - This will focus on the fun and varied work of a newspaper person and include tips on reporting and writing, photography and other elements of the business.  The six-session program meets weekly at the Omaha World Herald Bldg. at 1314 Douglas St. and begins on February 9, from 6-7:30 pm.  Contact Rick Ruggles at 402-444-1123. Program cost=$30
Juniors - Please remind your parents to attend the Junior Parent Meeting tonight at 5:30in the theater.

Creighton Pharmacy Exploring Program - If you are interested in a career in pharmacy, this program will introduce you to pharmacy as a possible career option through guest speakers, discussions with professional students and various hands-on learning experiences.  It is a 1-Day program on April 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Creighton University's Brandeis Hall, 24th & California. Program cost=$35 (includes lunch).  Space is limited, so sign up ASAP at www.omahaexploring.org.
College Fair - Thursday, Feb. 11; 4-7 p.m. at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 2825 Y St., Omaha.  Reps from UNO, UNL, Kaplan, College of Saint Mary & more will be there.
Iowa Western Community College Dia del Exito Latino (Day of Excellence) will be held on Thursday, March 31 at their campus.  This event will feature a keynote speaker as well as a panel of IWCC Student Services staff to answer questions and discuss campus resources.  A tour of campus and lunch are included.  Check in:  9:30; lunch: 12:00.  Deadline to register is March 18.  email: mnodskov@iwcc.edu or bmcqueen@iwss.edu.
