The Media Center will close today at 3:20, but will open again at 4:30 and remain open during Parent/Teacher Conferences tonight.

The next FAIR meeting with be Monday, February 2 from 3:30-4:30p. One of our Inclusive Communities Interns will be facilitating an interfatih conversation. Please come to participate in or listen to a respectful dialogue about different religions and faiths. Snacks will be provided.

Auditions for this year's Cake & Comedy will be held this Wednesday, January 28th at 3:30 in the RHS Theatre.  There is no advanced preparation.  If cast, rehearsals will begin Monday, February 2nd.  If you have questions see Mr. Uhrmacher in D112.

RHS READERS Book Club will be playing Mafia after school this Thursday, January 29th, in the Media Center.  Stop by and see Ms. Olsen for details.
There will be a small blood drive on Friday January 30th!  This blood drive will be held on the Red Cross buses.  HOSA and Health Science students are recruiting now.  You can also stop by room G120 to sign up.  16 year olds will need parent permission forms and everyone will need a photo ID.

Attention Key CLub Members:
There will be a meeting after school on Thursday in Mr. Earhart's room.

Attention Junior Class Officers:
There will be a meeting in Mr. Uhrmacher's room Thursday morning at 7:40am.

Ralston Students - Do yo know that poverty and hunger are a serious problem in Douglas County?  Key Club is sponsoring a food drive to help. Bring in non-perishable food item to your homeroom.  The homeroom that brings in the most food will will treats for their homeroom!

RHS Yoga Club will meet this week! Please join us in room A109 for a free yoga class from 3:30-4:30p every first and third Thursday of the month starting Thursday, January 29. Wear comfortable clothes. Mats are provided. Contact dene.oglesby@ralstonschools.org with questions.
Seniors:  the forms for Ads for Grads for this years yearbook are available in the main office!  Deadline for the form and payment is March 1st!
The next Spanish club meeting is today, January 27th.  ¡Noche de Karaoke!  Prepare your best song and get ready to sing your heart out.  Or come support your musical friends.  Sing in Spanish or English. ¡te esperamos!
College/Career Center
Juniors & Seniors: Are you interested in visiting the campuses of Iowa Western Community College and Metropolitan Community CollegeFort Omaha?  You can do this for free on Thursday, Feb. 12. If you are passing your classes, in good standing, without excessive absences and on track to graduate, you are eligible to go. Space is limited to the first 60 students.  Doughnuts and instructions will be provided at 9:00 that morning in the Media Center.  The bus will leave RHS at 9:30 a.m. and return at 3:00 p.m.
In order to get on the list for this visit, you must bring your completed permission slip to Mrs. Barker no later than Thursday, Feb. 5.

Seniors:  A reminder that the Susan T. Buffett scholarship applications are due February 1.

Juniors:  Please remind your parents to attend the Junior Parent Meeting tonight at5:30 p.m. in the Theater.
Calling all students!  Our Career Speaker for January is Camille Metoyer Moten, vocalist.   All grade levels are invited to attend on Friday, January 30.   Come to the back of the Media Center during homeroom and enjoy great information  + Free PIZZA!  You must sign up  with your homeroom teacher.  Space is limited, so don't delay!

Juniors:  You are invited to listen to Jill Schiemann, Grand Canyon University rep, during homeroom on Tuesday, February 3. GCU is offering a free trip (including airfare) for 10 juniors to their campus in Phoenix, AZ. on Feb. 19-20. Students need a 3.0 GPA and an interest in studying one of the following majors: engineering, pre-med, nursing, computer sciences, sports management, or golf/hospitality management. Also of note: this is a Christian university. The presentation will be in the back of the Media Center. PIZZA WILL BE PROVIDED. Sign up with your homeroom teacher.

Activities/Athletics
GIRLS TRACK: There will be a preseason meeting for girls interested in going to for track this spring and who are currently NOT involved in a winter sport on Thursday, January 29, at 3:25 in room A211.  See Mrs. Brockhaus in room A211 if you have any questions.
