The next FAIR meeting with be Monday, February 2 from 3:30-4:30p. One of our Inclusive Communities Interns will be facilitating an interfatih conversation. Please come to participate in or listen to a respectful dialogue about different religions and faiths. Snacks will be provided.

Ralston Students - Do yo know that poverty and hunger are a serious problem in Douglas County? Key Club is sponsoring a food drive to help. Bring in non-perishable food item to your homeroom. The homeroom that brings in the most food will will treats for their homeroom!
Stop by the Media Center now through February 13 to participate in "Blind Date with a Book." We match you with an unknown gift-wrapped book that you know very little about. After you check the book out, we send you off with a kiss. Then you take your book on a blind date by choosing to meet with and read it, and give it a chance to make an impression. Then you decide....is it a love connection? Or is your blind date a dud? Just for giving it a chance, you get your name in a drawing for a heart-shaped box of chocolates.. Stop by the Media Center and meet your blind date!
Seniors: the forms for Ads for Grads for this years yearbook are available in the main office! Deadline for the form and payment is March 1st!
Community Service Opportunity:
Interested students can receive up to 5 hours of community service on March 7th when Ralston Middle School hosts our first annual district Battle of the Books. High school students are needed to be timekeepers for the four rounds of competition from 8:00-noon on March 7th. We will need at least 10 students from RHS. If you would like to participate, stop by the RHS Media Center and sign up with Ms. Olsen.
Juniors & Seniors: Are you interested in visiting the campuses of Iowa Western Community College and Metropolitan Community College- Fort Omaha? You can do this for free on Thursday, Feb. 12. If you are passing your classes, in good standing, without excessive absences and on track to graduate, you are eligible to go. Space is limited to the first 60 students. Doughnuts and instructions will be provided at 9:00 that morning in the Media Center. The bus will leave RHS at 9:30 a.m. and return at 3:00 p.m.
In order to get on the list for this visit, you must bring your completed permission slip to Mrs. Barker no later than Thursday, Feb. 5.
ACT Seminars sponsored by AIM HIGH Test Prep Inc. Test prep sessions begin for 10 Saturdays starting Feb. 7. Choose either 8 a.m.-Noon or 1-5 p.m. Principle instructor is Patrick Coyle, with 20 years of test prep experience. Cost = $750; advance registration required.
