Important Reminders!
The last opportunity for drop/add is TODAY by 3:30.  See your student handbook for viable reasons to drop/add a class and make an appointment with your counselor if you believe you qualify.  

Hats, coats & backpacks MUST  be stored in lockers.  

Students should plan to leave home a little earlier in inclement weather to avoid traffic issues that may otherwise cause them to be tardy to school.  Do not plan on tardies being waived just because there is snow on the ground.
RHS READERS Book Club will meet this Friday, January 9th, during all three lunch periods.  Our theme for this meeting is, "Don't Judge a Book by its Movie."  We will discuss the best and the worst of book to movie adaptations.  Join us!  Stop  by the media center for a pass to bring your lunch from the cafeteria.

Dreaming of France 2016? Our FINAL informational meeting before the cost reduction deadline will be this Thursday, January 8th, at 6:30pm in Lecture Room C. After the 15th, the price of the trip increases, so join us this week to get signed up! Any questions, please see Madame O in A109 or Madame H in A 101.

French Club T-shirt and sweatshirt orders are in!! Stop by A101 to pick yours up! If you missed out on this order, we will be placing another one, so see Madame H. if you would like to get in on the goods!!
Information and registration papers for the Winter/Spring Driver's Education is now available in the office.  Registration will be held on January 13th and 14th.
College/Career Center
Juniors & Seniors: Are you interested in visiting the University of Nebraska-Kearney campus?  You can do this for free on Thursday, January 22.  If you are passing your classes, in good standing, without excessive absences and on track to graduate, you are eligible to go.
Space is limited to the first 60 students.  Doughnuts and instructions will be provided at 7:00 that morning in the Media Center.  The bus will leave RHS at 7:30 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m.
In order to get on the list for this visit, you must bring your completed permission slip to Mrs. Barker no later than Thursday, January 15.

Maggie Lo, RHS Alum, will be in the College/Career Center tomorrow at 9:00 to talk about her current school, Webster University.  
Seniors:  Please remind your parents to attend the Financial Aid Meeting tomorrow night in Lecture Room C.  5:30=English speaking, 7:00 = Spanish speaking.
ACT Assistance Review - Feb. 5, 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Westside High School, 87th & Pacific.  Instruction from experienced and certified instructors.  Cost = $ 30.  Forms are available in C/C Center or go online:  www.omaha.assistanceleague.org.  
Student Opportunity:  
Midland University Nebraska Court of Appeals - Tuesday, January 13, Kimmel Theatre, 900 Clarkson St., Fremont.  Case/Hearing sessions at9:00 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.  The Nebraska Court of Appeals will be in session at Midland University.  Students are welcome to attend this event and hear several cases followed by an open Q & A.  RSVP:  Midlandu.edu/courtofappeals.

Girls Soccer Conditioning starts Wednesday @ 3:30 (meet in the gym)!  If you are planning on going out for soccer, plan on attending pre-season conditioning!  See Coach Behrens with any questions.
