Juniors, you have until Friday, January 8, 2016 to return your John Baylor Prep Opt Out Form to the school counseling office. All Juniors are currently enrolled for John Baylor Prep beginning February 17, 2016. Those that do not want to participate must have the formed signed and verified.
There will be NO FCA meeting this week, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet next Thursday, January 14th @7:15AM.
There will be a mandatory debate meeting after school today. If you cannot make it, please talk to Mr. Garst in B208 ASAP. We will be discussing upcoming tournaments as well as the tournament we will be hosting on February 6th.
Last call for art projects! All Term one and two students from Mr. Miller's art classes - Please pick up any projects left in his room by this Friday! Friday after school all leftover projects will be discarded!
The French Tutoring Center is available for students without appointment to receive homework assistance, makeup quizzes and tests, or simply review and practice their French skills. It is open every Wednesday from 3:20-4:00 p.m. in A102 starting January 13. If you are an upper-level French student (3-5) and would like to gain valuable peer-tutoring experience and earn community service hours, see Ms. Oglesby for a tutor application.
RHS READERS Club will meet today during both lunches. We will discuss what we read over Winter Break, and reading goal challenges for 2016. Ms. Olsen has passes if you need one to take food out of the cafeteria. As always, we will return your lunch tray for you. See you there!
TRAVEL TO FRANCE! Join fellow Ralston French students on our 2017 trip to travel for twelve days, June 5-17, to the Loire Valley, Montpellier, and Paris. INCLUCITY - It's not too late to turn in your applications for January 15-18 IncluCity camp! We have space for two female and three male students. Help us send a full delegation to camp! See Ms. Oglesby in A102 or any FAIR member for more information. IncluCity is a four-day camp to develop leadership skills and social justice awareness.
FAIR meetings will meet twice a month instead of once a week this semester. FAIR is Ralston's diversity club that promotes inclusion and social justice awareness. Omaha Fashion Week and Develop Model Management will be hosting a model call January 16th in search for fresh faces to walk the runway this March.
The event will be held at Westroads Mall at 2:00 pm in the Von Maur Court. Please note that this is the ONLY casting call for Omaha Fashion Week. The Mobile Food Pantry is a traveling food pantry that delivers food directly to families in need for a one-day distribution. The next event is January 9th, located at the Harrison Street Baptist Church, 8015 Harrison St., LaVista.

OMAHA WORLD HERALD PROGRAM #688
This post will focus on the fun and varied work of a newspaper person and will include tips on reporting and writing, photography and other elements of the business. Students will write stories that will be attached to the World-Herald's online site, Omaha.com. You'll have to write articles and interview people, but there will be no tests or grades. This six-session program meets weekly, and will be fast-paced, fun and blow by very quickly! Kick-off night will be February 9th, starting at6:00 pm and lasting until 7:30 pm.
