Important Reminders!
Hats, coats & backpacks MUST  be stored in lockers.  

Students should plan to leave home a little earlier in inclement weather to avoid traffic issues that may otherwise cause them to be tardy to school.  Do not plan on tardies being waived just because there is snow on the ground.

HOSA:  Mid Winter Skills Lab is January 30th.  The bus will leave at 6:30AM and we will be back to RHS by 4PM (weather permitting of course).  The cost is $15.00 for HOSA members and $20.00 for non members.  Payment will be due by January 20th.
Mrs. Ziegler has registration forms.  Don't delay!
RHS READERS Book Club will meet this Friday, January 9th, during all three lunch periods.  Our theme for this meeting is, "Don't Judge a Book by its Movie."  We will discuss the best and the worst of book to movie adaptations.  Join us!  Stop  by the media center for a pass to bring your lunch from the cafeteria.

Dreaming of France 2016? Our FINAL informational meeting before the cost reduction deadline will be TODAY, January 8th, at 6:30pm in Lecture Room C. After the 15th, the price of the trip increases, so join us this week to get signed up! Any questions, please see Madame O in A109 or Madame H in A 101.

No FCA meeting tonight, our next meeting will be NEXT Thursday at 6:30pm in the library!

French Club T-shirt and sweatshirt orders are in!! Stop by A101 to pick yours up! If you missed out on this order, we will be placing another one, so see Madame H. if you would like to get in on the goods!!

Auberge 2015 is open for registration! If you are in French 2 or above and wish to participate in our biennial hotel "lock-in"on Saturday/Sunday, March 20th and 21st,  please see Madame O. or Madame H. to sign up! Spots are limited to ten participants per school, but if you are energetic, passionate about French, and interested in meeting French students from all over the Omaha and Lincoln areas, then we want you in! Registration will be on a first come, first served basis. 
Information and registration papers for the Winter/Spring Driver's Education is now available in the office.  Registration will be held on January 13th and 14th.

National Honor Society will meet THIS week.  Current NHS members please plan on attending one of the two meetings offered.  We will be discussing the upcoming year, service learning projects and more . The meeting is in B208 on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. OR Friday at 7:30 a.m. Just a reminder that NHS meetings are held the 2nd and 4th week of every month. If you are unable to attend, please contact Ms. Stark ASAP as per the attendance policy.

Ralston’s Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) will be meeting this Tuesday, in room B208 at 3:25, right after school. Please come to enjoy great activities, meeting new people, food and fun! Everyone is welcome regardless of whether you identify as GLBT or straight. This is a great club to meet new people and spread awareness and combat bullying amongst all students. College/Career Center
Attention juniors and seniors:  Maggie Lo, RHS alum, will be in the College/Career Center this morning at 9:00 to talk about her current school, Webster University in Missouri.  Secure a pass from your teacher and come in to listen to what she has to say.
 
Juniors & Seniors: Are you interested in visiting the University of Nebraska-Kearney campus?  You can do this for free on Thursday, January 22.  If you are passing your classes, in good standing, without excessive absences and on track to graduate, you are eligible to go.
Space is limited to the first 60 students.  Doughnuts and instructions will be provided at 7:00 that morning in the Media Center.  The bus will leave RHS at 7:30 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m.
In order to get on the list for this visit, you must bring your completed permission slip to Mrs. Barker no later than Thursday, January 15.

ACT Assistance Review - Feb. 5, 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Westside High School, 87th & Pacific.  Instruction from experienced and certified instructors.  Cost = $ 30.  Forms are available in C/C Center or go online:  www.omaha.assistanceleague.org.  
Student Opportunity:  
Midland University Nebraska Court of Appeals - Tuesday, January 13, Kimmel Theatre, 900 Clarkson St., Fremont.  Case/Hearing sessions at9:00 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.  The Nebraska Court of Appeals will be in session at Midland University.  Students are welcome to attend this event and hear several cases followed by an open Q & A.  RSVP:  Midlandu.edu/courtofappeals.
