The media center will close at 3:20pm the remainder of the week.  The computer lab is open.
SENIORS:  the last day to turn in a photo for the yearbook is TOMORROW.  A photographer will be here tomorrow in the media center during all lunches.  $20 pays for your session and some prints to keep.  Don't miss this deadine!
HOSA members going to Thomas Fitzgerald Veteran's Home this afternoon to deliver Valentines should meet in Mrs. Ziegler's room after school.  I have a van reserved that will hold 7!  If you are driving on your own I will have directions for you.

State HOSA!  Are you ready for 2 days of fun and competition? See Mrs. Ziegler for an informational packet and watch announcements for a HOSA Pizza Night coming up soon.  Deadline to register for State HOSA is February 26th so don't delay.
National Honor Society will meet THIS week.  NHS members please plan on attending one of the two meetings offered.  We will be discussing the Open Store, Habitat, and many more upcoming projectsWe have A LOT going on please plan to be at one of these meetings. The meeting is in B208 on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. OR Friday at 7:30 a.m. If you are unable to attend, please contact Ms. Stark ASAP as per the attendance policy.

If you want to participate in our school visit with author Rainbow Rowell next Wednesday, February 18th, stop by the Media Center to hear the details and sign up.  Space is limited.

We've just added ten new eligible books to our Blind Date with a Book display. Stop in the Media Center, check one out, spend some one-on-one quality time with it, and find out if it's love.  You could win a huge, heart-shaped box of chocolates just for trying it.

RHS Readers Book Club will have our annual Anti-Valentine Day party this Friday, the 13th.  Come for food, fun, a white elephant Valentine gift exchange, and "Mars Attacks."  RSVP to Ms. Olsen by Thursday.

Freshman and Sophomore Class Officers are selling class t-shirts!

You can fill out an order form and return it WITH the money to the office, Miss Engel’s room (F138) or Miss Hefflinger’s room (A211). Order forms can be found from any class officer, in the office, or in Miss Engel or Miss Hefflinger's room. You must pay when you order your t-shirt. All t-shirts Small-X-large are $15.00. Sizes 2xL-5xL are $17.00. Orders will be taken until February 27th.
Become a Student Athletic Trainer! Be involved in RHS athletics, earn service hours, learn about a medical profession, have fun, and meet new people. Must be able to commit to working a regular schedule. Options for after school and events only commitments are available. Duties will include basic taping and wound care, practice/event preparation, and attending RHS practices and events as scheduled. 
If interested email Co Schneider at colleen.schneider@ralstonschools.org no later than Thursday February 19th. In your email, please include why you are interested in this opportunity, what type of schedule you are interested in (afternoons or events only), and any schedule conflicts you might have.
Those students selected to participate during the winter season will be notified by Monday February 16th. Orientation and training meeting will be held Tuesday February 24th after school starting at 3:30 for 1-1.5 hours. 
Spring practices start Monday March 2nd.

FCA will meet tonight @ 6:30 in the Library!  FCA Skating & Movie Night will be held this SUNDAY at Mrs. Behrens home @ 7:00pm.  See Mrs. Behrens if you're planning on coming!
College/Career Center
Seniors:  What are you doing?  I just received notice from the Marlin Nelson Foundation that no (this means 0) scholarship applications have been received.  It's due Feb. 21.  It's $1500.  It's in Naviance.  What are you waiting for?
Calling all students!  Our Career Speaker for February is Ron Cooley, guitarist with Mannheim Steamroller.  All grade levels are invited to attend on Tuesday, February 24.   Join us in Lecture Room C*
 during homeroom and enjoy great information  + Free PIZZA!  You must sign up  with your homeroom teacher.  Space is limited, so don't delay!  *Note change of location.
