Band Members:  Call time for tonight's game is 7:00 p.m.  Please be on time.
Over 30 students took the plunge and went on a Blind Date with a Book these last two weeks.  Congratulations to 9th grader Aiyana McGhee who won the heart-shaped box of chocolates for Valentine's Day.  
But it's not over yet!  You can still win!  This time it will be dinner for two at the Spaghetti Works.  If you are currently on a blind date with a book, your name is automatically in the drawing.  If not, check out a blind date with a book between now and the end of February.

Award-winning author Rainbow Rowell is coming to Ralston High School TOMORROW!  Students who signed up to participate in her presentation should come to Lecture Room C by no later than 1:00 p.m.  Don't be late!  The doors will close and you might not get in.  Also, Ms. Rowell will have her books available to purchase, and she will be happy to sign them for you.  $15 or $20, cash only.  See Ms. Olsen for details.
RHS READERS Book Club will meet on Friday, February. 20th during all three lunches.  We meet in the back of the media center.  We will discuss our Blind Dates with a Book.  Stop by and share how your date went.  See you there!

Very quick but important HOSA meeting after school today!  It is time for State HOSA...pick up your information packet and get ready to join us March 23-24 for an over night trip to the State Conference!  Pizza Night is coming up as well as "Fun Day Sundae"  see you after school.

Freshman and Sophomore Class Officers are selling class t-shirts!

You can fill out an order form and return it WITH the money to the office, Miss Engel’s room (F138) or Miss Hefflinger’s room (A211). Order forms can be found from any class officer, in the office, or in Miss Engel or Miss Hefflinger's room. You must pay when you order your t-shirt. All t-shirts Small-X-large are $15.00. Sizes 2xL-5xL are $17.00. Orders will be taken until February 27th.
Become a Student Athletic Trainer! Be involved in RHS athletics, earn service hours, learn about a medical profession, have fun, and meet new people. Must be able to commit to working a regular schedule. Options for after school and events only commitments are available. Duties will include basic taping and wound care, practice/event preparation, and attending RHS practices and events as scheduled. 
If interested email Co Schneider at no later than Thursday February 19th. In your email, please include why you are interested in this opportunity, what type of schedule you are interested in (afternoons or events only), and any schedule conflicts you might have.
Those students selected to participate during the winter season will be notified by Monday February 16th. Orientation and training meeting will be held Tuesday February 24th after school starting at 3:30 for 1-1.5 hours. 
Spring practices start Monday March 2nd.
Community Service Opportunity
Meadows Elementary is looking for students interested in earning service hours to help at its Books and Bingo Night Thursday, March 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. If anyone is interested in volunteering that evening, please contact me, Dawn Beacom, through email at or my phone at 402-440-4797.
College/Career Center
College representative in C/C Center tomorrow:  College of Saint Mary at 9:00.
Junior Boys/Girls:  If you signed up for Boys or Girls State, your resumes are due to Mrs. Balus tomorrow.
GIRLS TRACK: Pre-season conditioning this week will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 17 & 18 after school. No conditioning on Thursday. If you are not out for a winter sport, you are strongly encouraged to attend!
Girls Soccer: There will be a mandatory meeting for any girls interested in going out for soccer this Spring today, February 17th @ 3:25pm in Lecture Room C.  There are no exceptions to this meeting, if you are unable to attend, you MUST contact Coach Behrens!

Wednesday, February 25th in Lecture Room C at 4:00pm.
