If you are interested in auditioning for Show Choir next year auditions will be held in the Choir Room on Wednesday February 24th. Please see Mrs. McKain for sign up's, dance clinic information, and song choices. 
Seniors:  Jostens will be here on Wednesday, March 2nd and Thursday March 3rd during all lunch shifts to deliver graduation announcements and other items that have been ordered.  Please plan to stop by the table in the commons to pick up your orders.  Cap and gowns will be delivered in May, not at this time.

The 3rd Annual Future Chefs Kids Can Cook Competition for Ralston High School will be held on March 3.  Teams of 2-3 students will compete, cooking My Plate meals for the judges.  All finalists will receive a chef's coat, hat, and gift bag.  
Put together a team and submit your menu by this Wednesday, February 24th.  Please pick up a form for your menu from the lunchroom or consumer science classroom.  Finalist teams will be notified on Thursday, the 25th and the competition will be held on Thursday, March 3rd.  All food items needed for your team will be provided for you.
LA CONVENTION FRANÇAISE ARRIVE!! Join your French classmates for a day of food, competition, and fun at Millard South High School on Saturday, April 2nd. See Mme H. or Mme O. to sign up! Registrations must be in by Thursday, February 25th. 

"Je fais ce que je veux!" (I do what I want!) Order your French Club gear by Friday, February 26th. We are only doing one order this year, so don't miss out on your chance for sweet French swag! See Mme H. or Mme O. for order forms!
Multicultural Club Meeting will meet, on Wednesday, February 24, in the Media Center after school.  Please make sure you have registered online to attend Iowa Western Community College field trip.  Please plan to attend the meeting for further information.

Juniors & Seniors
Victor Garcia from EducationQuest will be here on Tuesday, March 1st to work with you and your parents on your FAFSA application.  Please set up your appointment with Mrs. Barker in the Counseling Office.
Other dates:  Tuesday, March 22 and Wednesday, April 13th.

It's not too late to sign up to help with Ralston Middle School's Battle of the Books from 8 am - noon on Saturday, March 5.  We need 10 more student volunteers from RHS. You will receive 4 hours of community service .  Stop by the library to sign up.

Teen Tech Week is March 6-12.  To celebrate in a special way, Ralston HS has been selected as one of 30 schools nationwide to participate in a teen tech workshop on coding / webmaking.  This workshop will be taught by the Geek Squad Academy from Best Buy and will be help from 3:30-4:30 on Thursday, March 10 in the Ralston HS Library.  See Ms. Olsen to snag a spot.  Space is limited.
ATTENTION FRANCE 2016 TRAVELERS: Plan for you and your parents/guardians to attend our next mandatory trip planning meeting TODAY, February 23rd from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in Lecture Room C. You will submit your roommate requests and review valuable travel information for our trip leaving in less than 120 days! See Madame O or Madame H with questions.
College/Career Center
Seniors: The Ralston Education Association scholarship applications are due to Mrs. Balus tomorrow.
Sophomores, juniors and seniors:  Are you interested in finding out about all the aspects of a career in the Theater?  Liz Kendall Weisser will be in the College/Career Center this Friday, Feb. 26th at 10:00.  Come down to hear her exciting life story and how you can get started in this field.
Attention juniors & seniors:  Our campus visit to Methodist and Clarkson has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 3.  You will meet in Lecture Room C at 8:00 for refreshments and instructions and board the bus at 8:30 for both campuses.  The bus returns to RHS at 3:00.  Sign up with Mrs. Barker in the Counseling Office.  Your permission slip is due no later than Tuesday, March 3.
Physicals must be complete and a copy given to the AD office before you can try-out or practice for spring sports.  Spring sports officially start on 2/29.  If you have played a sport this year you should have one on file.  If you need information on where to get a physical stop in to the AD office (it is next to the Ram Shack where we take debit and credit cards).

All boys interested in going out for track, there will be a meeting today, February 23rd during homeroom in Lec C.  

Soccer Tryouts begin Monday, February 29th!!  All girls interested in trying out must fill out the Google form sent out!  If you have not received the form, please see Coach Behrens!  You also must have a current physical on file with the Activities Office.
GIRLS TRACK:  There will be a mandatory meeting for ALL girls interested in going out for track this spring on Wednesday, February 24, at 3:25 in room A211.  Important information will be handed out at this time.  Official practice begins Monday, February 29!  Questions?  See Mrs. Brockhaus in room A211.
