If you are interested in auditioning for Show Choir next year auditions will be held in the Choir Room today February 24th. Please see Mrs. McKain for sign up's, dance clinic information, and song choices. 
Seniors:  Jostens will be here on Wednesday, March 2nd and Thursday March 3rd during all lunch shifts to deliver graduation announcements and other items that have been ordered.  Please plan to stop by the table in the commons to pick up your orders.  Cap and gowns will be delivered in May, not at this time.

HOSA members!  If you are planning to go to State you MUST see Mrs. Ziegler by Friday this week!  This is very important!
If you are interested in trying out for Cheerleading or Dance team there will be an informational meeting on March 2nd @ 7:00 PM in Lecture Room C. Tryout week information will be handed out at this time. If you have any questions, ask Miss Engel in Room F005 or email jordan.engel@ralstonschools.org
The 3rd Annual Future Chefs Kids Can Cook Competition for Ralston High School will be held on March 3.  Teams of 2-3 students will compete, cooking My Plate meals for the judges.  All finalists will receive a chef's coat, hat, and gift bag.  
Put together a team and submit your menu by TODAY, February 24th.  Please pick up a form for your menu from the lunchroom or consumer science classroom.  Finalist teams will be notified on Thursday, the 25th and the competition will be held on Thursday, March 3rd.  All food items needed for your team will be provided for you.

The Ralston gender-sexualities alliance will be meeting tomorrow in room B208 after school. We will discuss the upcoming National Day of Silence and other possible GSA activities.

LA CONVENTION FRANÇAISE ARRIVE!! Join your French classmates for a day of food, competition, and fun at Millard South High School on Saturday, April 2nd. See Mme H. or Mme O. to sign up! Registrations must be in by Thursday, February 25th

"Je fais ce que je veux!" (I do what I want!) Order your French Club gear by Friday, February 26th. We are only doing one order this year, so don't miss out on your chance for sweet French swag! See Mme H. or Mme O. for order forms!
Multicultural Club Meeting will meet today, February 24, in the Media Center after school.  Please make sure you have registered online to attend Iowa Western Community College field trip.  Please plan to attend the meeting for further information.

Juniors & Seniors
Victor Garcia from EducationQuest will be here on Tuesday, March 1st to work with you and your parents on your FAFSA application.  Please set up your appointment with Mrs. Barker in the Counseling Office.
Other dates:  Tuesday, March 22 and Wednesday, April 13th.

It's not too late to sign up to help with Ralston Middle School's Battle of the Books from 8 am - noon on Saturday, March 5.  We need 10 more student volunteers from RHS. You will receive 4 hours of community service .  Stop by the library to sign up.

Teen Tech Week is March 6-12.  To celebrate in a special way, Ralston HS has been selected as one of 30 schools nationwide to participate in a teen tech workshop on coding / webmaking.  This workshop will be taught by the Geek Squad Academy from Best Buy and will be help from 3:30-4:30 on Thursday, March 10 in the Ralston HS Library.  See Ms. Olsen to snag a spot.  Space is limited.
College/Career Center
Seniors: The Ralston Education Association scholarship applications are due to Mrs. Balus today.
Seniors: The Nick Steinbach scholarship applications applications are due to Mrs. Balus tomorrow.
Sophomores, juniors and seniors: Are you interested in finding out about all the aspects of a career in the Theater?  Liz Kendall Weisser will be in the College/Career Center this Friday, Feb. 26th at 10:00.  Come down to hear her exciting life story and how you can get started in this field.
Athletics/Activities
Physicals must be complete and a copy given to the AD office before you can try-out or practice for spring sports.  Spring sports officially start on 2/29.  If you have played a sport this year you should have one on file.  If you need information on where to get a physical stop in to the AD office (it is next to the Ram Shack where we take debit and credit cards).
Soccer Tryouts begin Monday, February 29th!!  All girls interested in trying out must fill out the Google form sent out!  If you have not received the form, please see Coach Behrens!  You also must have a current physical on file with the Activities Office.
GIRLS TRACK:  There will be a mandatory meeting for ALL girls interested in going out for track this spring today, February 24, at 3:25 in room A211.  Important information will be handed out at this time.  Official practice begins Monday, February 29!  Questions?  See Mrs. Brockhaus in room A211.
