Sophomore Audits will begin next week.  Please check the window in the Counseling Office to find your day and time.  A great opportunity to meet with your counselor and get the  'jump start' you need for your junior year.
Join French Club Thursday, February 11th for JEUDI GRAS after school in A101. We will be enjoying food, drink, and music, as well as ordering our French club T's and sweats! Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Become a Student Athletic Trainer! 
Be involved in RHS athletics, earn service hours, learn about a medical profession, have fun, and meet new people. Must be able to commit to working a regular schedule. Mainly after school practices with the option of working events. Duties will include basic taping and wound care, practice/event preparation, and attending RHS practices and events as scheduled. 
If interested email Co Schneider at colleen.schneider@ralstonschools.org no later than Friday February 12th. In your email, please include why you are interested in this opportunity, what type of schedule you are interested in (every day, certain days of the week, etc.), and any schedule conflicts you might have. Those students selected to participate during the spring season will be notified by Monday February 15th. Orientation and training meeting will be held Thursday February 18th after school starting at 3:30 for 1-1.5 hours. Spring practices start Monday February 29th.

It's February and you know what that means:  It's time for Blind Date with a Book! 💘 Stop by the RHS Library anytime through February 11th to participate.  Blind Date with a Book 💘 matches you with an unknown gift-wrapped book which you choose to check out of the library, not knowing the title, author, or other details. You then take your book on a blind date, giving it a chance to make an impression. Do you have a love connection? 💖 Or is your date is a dud? 💔 Plus, you get your name in a drawing to win a Valentine's heart-shaped box of chocolates, just for giving it a try.  Stop by and check out your blind date! 💞

Attention Fashion Club:  We will meet today February 5th after school until 5pm in A107.  We will be learning how to make crazy quilts. Anyone is welcome! If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Krist.

Community Service Opportunity
The Mobile Food Pantry is a traveling food pantry that delivers food directly to families in need for a one-day distribution, free of charge. Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks on Saturday, February 13th.  The location for this event is 8015 Harrison St., LaVista at the Harrison Street Baptist Church. Please call the Messiah Lutheran Church to volunteer, #402-331-5510.

Ralston Middle School is hosting its 2nd Annual Battle of the Books on Saturday, March 5 from 8 am to noon.  RHS students are needed to act as timekeepers and/or scorers.  You can work part of the morning or all four hours.  This is a great way to get started on your community service for graduation!  To sign up or find out more, see Ms. Olsen in the RHS Library.
College/Career Center
Attention sophomores, juniors & seniors:  Get ready to sign up for our next career speaker.  Randi Norris from Travel & Transport, will be in Lec. Room C on Thursday, February 11, during homeroom.  Ms. Norris will tell you what it's like to be in the travel business and answer any questions you may have. Pizza will be provided.  Sign up with your homeroom teacher.
Werner Park Job Fair - Monday, Feb. 15, 3-9 p.m.  at  12356 Ballpark Way, Papillion.  Enter through the Storm Front Team Store.   You must be 16 and can apply for various positions including ushers, ticket takers, amusements, concessions + more.  Fill out an application online prior to the Fair:  www.omahastormchasers.com.  
Plan ahead:  The Wayne State College representative will be in the College/Career Center Monday at 8:00.
Summer Opportunities:  Numerous colleges and organizations are offering summer experiences too good to pass up.  Places range from Washington U in St. Louis to foreign travel.  Stop by C/C Center and check out the display with summer opportunities.  Some deadlines are early, so don't delay!
Student Opportunity:
Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska Conference -
This program recruits and mentors students to address the shortage of trained behavioral health providers in underserved communities in Nebraska.  The conference is March 4 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Kroc Center, 2825 Y Street.  If you are interested in this field, you must get an application from Mrs. Balus, Mrs. Weaver or Ms. Honke. Cost is free and includes breakfast and lunch.  Deadline to complete and return application is Feb. 10.
