SENIORS: The clock is ticking to get your yearbook photos submitted.  A photographer will be here during all three lunches in the media center Wednesday and Friday.  Just $20 pays for the photo session, 5x7 and 4 wallet prints, and your photo for the yearbook.  Don't miss this opportunity!  See the fliers around school or Mrs. Honz with questions.
Attention Fashion Club members.  We have a rescheduled our snowed out meeting We will meet after school today February 9th.  We will be making fingerless gloves out of recycled garments.  Bring an old sweater if you want to use it for your gloves.  Bring a friend. Check your email often about upcoming opportunities. Questions?  Ask Mrs. Krist.  
FAIR meets TODAY Monday, February 9 from 3:30-4:30p in A109. One of our Inclusive Communities Interns will be facilitating an interfatih conversation. Please come to participate in or listen to a respectful dialogue about different religions and faiths. Snacks will be provided.
Join French Club for a joint celebration of Mardi Gras and St. Valentine's day on Tuesday, February 10th at 3:30 in A101. Create "des phrases d'amour" and "des masques de mardi gras" to decorate the A-wing hallway, as well as sample delicious food and drink. 

Let the RHS Media Center set you up this Valentine's Day.  Win a huge heart-shaped box of chocolates just by picking a book from our Blind Date with a Book display, spending an hour with it, and deciding if your date's a dud or a love connection!  Blind Date with a Book:  Your dog won't bark incessantly at your new book.

RHS Readers:  our annual Anti-Valentine's Day party is this Friday the 13th!  Come to Lecture Room C for food, fun, a white elephant Valentine gift exchange, and "Mars Attacks!"  RSVP to Ms. Olsen by Thursday.

Freshman and Sophomore Class Officers are selling class t-shirts!

You can fill out an order form and return it WITH the money to the office, Miss Engel’s room (F138) or Miss Hefflinger’s room (A211). Order forms can be found from any class officer, in the office, or in Miss Engel or Miss Hefflinger's room. You must pay when you order your t-shirt. All t-shirts Small-X-large are $15.00. Sizes 2xL-5xL are $17.00. Orders will be taken until February 27th.

Local award-winning author, Rainbow Rowell will be visiting Ralston High School on Wednesday, February 18th at 1 p.m. She will answer questions about her books and her craft, followed by a book signing. RHS Readers Book Club members have permission to be excused from the final portion of 3rd period to attend this event. Other interested students can sign up with Ms. Olsen in the media center. In order to attend, you will need to write five intelligent questions (in advance) to ask Ms. Rowell. The media center has multiple copies of Eleanor & Park, and single copies of her other titles. Stop by to check one out and sign up for this special event!

SENIORS:  Buy your tickets to the senior lock-in!  The lock-in is Friday, February 13 after the varsity boys basketball game until 1:30 A.M.  Buy your ticket from any senior class officer, Mrs. Honz in room B206, or Ms. Rowley in B220 by the end of the day today, February 9
February's Spanish club meeting will be Tuesday the 10th, after school in Ms. Hoesly's room (A102).  Come for food, friends y fiesta!

Students in French 3-5 - we are still in need of a few tutors to assist students in French 1 classes. Tutoring takes place before/after school, during HR or a study hall twice per week. Please see Mme H. for an application. 
Attention Culinary Club!  It is time for our next segment of Chopped!  On Wednesday, February 11th, we will have the dessert competition of Chopped after school until 5pm.  You and a group of your friends will have 30 minutes to create a fabulous dessert out of the mystery basket of ingredients.  You do not have to be in Culinary Club to compete.  Just let Mrs. Krist know your team members by TODAY February 9th

Seniors:  FEBRUARY 14, 2015 is the LAST day for Goodrich applicants to take the English Placement and Proficiency Exam (EPPE). This free test is REQUIRED for all applicants. Please call the UNO testing center at 402.554.4800 to register.
