Seniors: ABSOLUTE LAST CALL!! Sign up sheets are now available in the main office for Prom Court! You must be in at least 2 activities, and list them on the sign up sheet! You have until TODAY, to sign up!
There will be no pop tab pick up this week. Collection will resume next week Thursday!

Today, April 14 Junior Homeroom students need to report to the theatre at homeroom, for information about the ACT test.
The Ralston High School Summer Program information and schedule is available now in the main office. Please see the counseling center for any questions regarding registration.
If you enrolled in Culinary II for next year, please watch your email for an important survey that needs to be filled out by today April 14th. If you have not received this email, please contact Mrs. Krist at email@example.com.
SENIORS: If you ordered a senior class T-shirt, please stop by Ms. Rowley's room (B220) to pick up your shirt. If you did not order a shirt but would like to, TODAY is the last day to see Ms. Rowley to order a shirt.
SENIORS: If you made a reservation for the Senior Banquet this Sunday, please arrive at the Regency Lodge no later than 5:55 P.M. Dinner starts at 6:00 P.M. with a program to follow. Please remember that you must have a reservation to attend. See Mrs. Honz or Ms. Rowley if you have any questions.
SENIORS: If you would like to be the class representative speaker at graduation, you must sign up with either Mrs. Honz in B206 or Ms. Rowley in B220 by the end of the day TODAY. Next week in HR, seniors will vote on their choice for speaker.
Wanted! Fearless students. An informational meeting about Speech, Debate, and Slam Poetry will be held during homeroom on Thursday, April 21st in Lecture Room C. Starting at 1:14, come to experience an informative and entertaining meeting. Coaches will present briefly, and students will perform. Attendance will be taken at the door and you must stay for the entire performance. See Mrs. Adair, Mr. Garst, or Mr. Lacey for more details!

Students and staff are competing for prizes in our Bookface contest, and you can help. Go the the Ralston High School Library Facebook page (you don't have to have a FB account) and "Like" the individual pictures. Just choose one staff and one student, please.
The man behind some of the most recent “Superman” comic issues, as well as several best-selling, original graphic novels is coming to the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO).
Graphic novel author and comic artist Gene Luen Yang’s lecture is set for today, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. in UNO’s Milo Bail Student Center Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public. Free parking will be available in the lower level of the east parking garage (Lot T), beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The lecture will include a Q&A and book signing.
Outside Date forms for Prom are now available in the main office. Prom is April 23rd, the forms are to be completed and returned to the office by Thursday, April 21st!
The “Tabs for Abs” collection cups are now available in homeroom. “Tabs for Abs” collects aluminum can tabs in memory of Abbey Rotert, who lost her battle to a rare disease two years ago. The tabs are recycled with the money donated to The Ronald McDonald House in her memory. The tabs will be collected during Thursday homerooms through May 4th, with weekly totals announced on Friday. Each week the homeroom with the most tabs donated will receive doughnuts. Donations larger than the collection cups can be dropped off in Room A217.
Registration for Summer Driver's Education will be Tuesday and Wednesday, May 10th & 11th from 7:00pm - 8:00pm in the RHS Commons. Class will be from June 6th through the 17th. Registration forms with more information are now available in the main office.
All Seniors are expected to participate in a Job Shadow Experience on April 19th from 8:00am - 12:00pm. Your homeroom teacher has all of the information and due dates for the packet. If you do not have a homeroom teacher, talk to your counselor about the expectations and pick up your packet. A shortened class schedule will be run from 1:00pm - 3:17pm.
The Ralston Gender-Sexualities Alliance will be meeting today, April 14th to discuss the Day of Silence and other summer opportunities.
Seniors!! Where are your scholarship reporting forms? It's important that all of you are recognized for your hard work. These forms were mailed to your homes and also attached to an email sent to you through Naviance. Extra copies are available in C/C Center. They are due to me today. Mrs. Balus
Attention Ralston High School basketball players: Check out Naviance for the Ralston Alumni Madness College Scholarship. One male and one female basketball player will be awarded a scholarship ranging from $100-$500. Criteria: 2.9 GPA, admitted to a college or university and have demonstrated a high degree of professionalism, a commitment to proper behavior in the classroom and community involvement.
Applications are due to Mr. Smith by May 1.

If you are a senior athlete who has been out for three sports for all four years please visit the Activities Director's office and let Mr. Smith or Ms. Mackey know. This needs to be done ASAP.
Students interested in wrestling in "freestyle" and/or "greco" wrestling style please see Coach Thoene BEFORE 1st period this week. There is an upcoming tournament on April 16th (you must register for it by the 15th) and you MUST see Coach Thoene before registering.
Community Health Advisory on Air Quality: All Ralston Public Schools students will be kept inside today and all athletic competition canceled.
In the interest of the safety of our students, we have decided to keep our Ralston Public Schools students inside Thursday, April 14, 2016 and we will continue to monitor community air quality. This includes recess, physical education classes, and all athletic practices and competitions.
