Seniors:  Cap and Gown orders are here!  You may come to the main office between classes, at lunch, or after school to pick up PROVIDED you have taken care of all your your fines and/or obligations.
Seniors:  There will be a senior class meeting during homeroom on Monday, May 9th in the theatre.  Don't miss out on important information!

Seniors just a reminder:  you will have access to your school Google accounts ONLY until July 1st.  After that date it will be inactivated.  If you have something saved you must transfer to a different account before July 1st!
The Computer Lab will be closed during Homeroom on today May 5th and Friday, May 6th. Seniors will be completing their Senior Exit Surveys. 

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week we are wanting to hear from you, the student body.   Please respond using the link below or you have been emailed the form for you to vote on who YOU think should be RHS Teacher of the Year!
Attention Culinary Club: We will gather in F102 on Tuesday May 10th from 3:30 - 5pm to make s'more bites. Please RSVP to Mrs. Krist. Members check your email for the invite. Bring a friend. 

Join Ralston History Department and F.A.I.R. on Monday, May 9th in the Ralston Theater for a Civic Engagement Panel during Period 5.  This event is open to RHS students and staff. Students who would like to attend should see Ms. Hartman in B121 for a permission form to be excused from fifth period.

FAIR will have a FAIRwell Potluck in A101 on Monday, May 9 directly after the civic engagement panel at 3:15p to send off our wonderful seniors who have made such a difference in their short time at Ralston! Those interested in serving as officers next year, volunteering for or attending IncluCity camp next year should attend. Hope to see you there!

Seniors:  Jack Martin Photography will be at graduation taking a picture of each student receiving their diploma.  If you would like to purchase a photo package you can pre-order now and receive a $5.00 discount!  Order forms are available in the main office.  These pre-order forms must be turned in with payment by May 12th (Senior's last day).  A second opportunity to purchase photos will be mailed out during the summer.

Only two more tab collections, today & next Thursday!   This week’s winning homeroom, if more than 5lbs of tabs are donated, will receive ice cream & soda pop for ice cream floats!  Donations larger than the collection cups can be dropped off in Room A217 anytime between now and Thursday.  
This summer's free downloads of audiobooks through AudiobookSync starts this Thursday.  Ms Olsen has been going around to English classes letting them know about this free program. Remember to download the Overdrive app, and sign up for text messages to remind you every Thursday.  If you don't already have one, pick up a bookmark listing all the free titles from the library. Any questions or technical difficulties, stop by the Library or ask your English teacher.

The Blood Drive is this Friday in the gym.  Remember, if you are 16 you need to have a parent permission form signed and turned in to Mrs. Ziegler before the blood drive!  
Registration for Summer Driver's Education will be Tuesday and Wednesday, May 10th & 11th from 7:00pm - 8:00pm in the RHS Commons.  Class will be from June 6th through the 17th.  Registration forms with more information are now available in the main office.

Summer opportunity for teens to volunteer at the Baright Library:
Teens, earn community service hours by shelving books, registering children, tidying the Creative Corner, and working events like Wildlife Encounters,
Lunch Truck, and CAPOW!
Volunteer between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm in two-hour or longer time slots from June 6 through August 5.
Volunteers must attend  one training session on Wednesday, June 1, from 11:00 am to Noon or Friday, June 3, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
Come ready to select the times and duties you can fulfill.
The library is at 5555 S. 77th Street.

Community Service Opportunity

RGSA (Ralston Girls Softball Association) is looking for concession stand volunteers ages 14 and up!  This is a low stress way to not only earn your Ralston High School community hours but to also get some experience working with cash registers and people which could help you in future employment.  If you are interested please visit RGSA.Org and click on the “CLICK HERE” to sign up for your preferred spot.  We also have the volunteer sheets on hand at the concession stand which is located in the middle of Wager and Crown fields off   80th and Park Dr. 


Volunteers needed for the End of Year Carnival at G. Stanley Hall located on 72nd street between Harrison and Giles this Friday. The shifts are 5p-6:30p and 6:30p-8p.

College/Career Center
Juniors: A representative from Grand Canyon University will be in Lecture Room C today during homeroom.  She will be talking about their university in Arizona which offers free airfare and lodging to their school for a campus visit. Pizza will be provided.  Check in with your homeroom teacher first, then head over to Lec. Room C.
Junior parents and students:  EducationQuest invites you to attend a Financial Aid Program where you'll learn about college funding options.  They will address the change in the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) that allows you to file it beginning October 1, 2016.  Dates are:
Monday, May 9, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Westside High School, 8701 Pacific St. or Tuesday, May 17, 6 - 7 p.m. at Papillion-LaVista High School, 402 Centennial Road.  Questions? Call: 402-391-4033.
