A note from the Health Office
Students who are feeling ill or sustain an injury at school should report to the Health Office. We realize that with the increased use of cell phones, parents have more direct contact. Calling from a cell phone can cause confusion when trying to locate a student for parent pickup. If a student is calling from an unknown location, we are also unaware if they are alone and ill and may need immediate help. For documentation purposes the Health Office staff needs to know when a student wants, needs, or is recommended to leave for an illness/injury.
If your student has a temperature over 100 degrees, the district policy states that he/she stay home and must be fever-free without the use of fever reducing medications (i.e. Tylenol) for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
Again, please remind your student to come to the health office if they are not feeling well. The decision is up to each parent/guardian if they wish to pick up their son or daughter. However, we may be able to help with an informed assessment of the situation and avoid attendance issues for both student and parent.
Please contact the Guidance Office at 402-898-3521 with any changes in telephone numbers or contact information as soon as they occur.
