Students:  Please note the following rules regarding leaving the cafeteria during lunch and going to the library:
  1. Students must have pre-approval from the library to leave the cafeteria and go to the library during your lunch shift.  This will be a privilege, behavior will be monitored and the approval can and will be revoked if necessary.
  2. Students MUST have their IDs and show the lunchroom supervisor in order to leave, no ID no permission.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  3. Absolutely NO FOOD is allowed out of the cafeteria.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  4. NO student will be allowed to leave the cafeteria during the last 10 minutes of the lunch shift, regardless of approval or not.
Fall Driver Education will be September 19th though November 7th.  Registration will be held in the commons on Tuesday, August 25th and Wednesday August 26th from 7:00 - 8:00pm.  Registration forms with more information are now available in the office.

Are you creative? Come and hang out with other creative people...Art Club, Tuesday3:25 (after school) in room D106. If you have any questions see Mr. Banks.

The first SPANISH CLUB meeting will be this Wednesday, August 19 after school in room A104!  Anyone who is interested in the Spanish language and culture is welcome!  We will be ordering T-shirts, having a snack and there will be a surprise activity!   Join us!

RHS Readers Book Club will have our first activity on Monday, August 24th:  Dee and Sara from Baright will be here to join in on the fun. It will be a Literary Scavenger Hunt. Wear your running shoes because we will have you and your team running around the building finding the answers to some novel questions.  The winning team will win prizes, and we will finish the event with some ice cream treats.  Start time:  Promptly at 3:30; the hunt will begin at 3:45.  We should be done by 4:30.  Any student interested in participating in Book Club this year is invited.

Do you like to write stories, poems, screenplays, or songs? Come to writing club and share your creativity! Writing Club will be meeting on Tuesday, August 18th from 3:20 to 4 in room B218. See Mrs. Adair for more information.

Interested in Math Club?  Please stop in for a brief informational meeting in room A211 on Thursday either before school at 7:40 or after school at 3:25.  If you can not make it, come by any other time that you can!  See Mrs. Johansen in A210 or Mrs. Brockhaus in A211 for more info.

How brave are you? Did you know that  more people fear public speaking more than death? If you have what it takes to brave the seas of social construction think about joining speech team. There will be an information meeting on Thursday, August 20th at 3:30pm in room B218. See Mrs. Adair for more information. 

FAIR is Ralston's diversity club and stands for Fairness, Acceptance, Identity, Respect. We meet every Monday from 3:30 - 4:00 p.m. in A102 with Ms. Oglesby.
Come to our first meeting today, Monday, August 17th from 3:30 - 4:00 p.m. in A102 for thoughtful, respectful discussion about social justice issues that matter to you and our school.
We will be discussing IncluCity camp dates, the application process for camp, as well as enjoy snacks and talk about our plans for the year.
Plan to attend if you are interested in attending the four-day social justice and leadership camp or interested in volunteering this year!
The first DECA meeting will be today, August 17 starting at 6:30 p.m. in room A120. Please come to get more information on how this business club can benefit you.  You must be registered in a business class during the school year to be in the club.

The Ralston High School debate team will be holding an informational meeting today, August 17th for students and parents. The meeting will begin at 5:30. It is important that parents come to this meeting, as it will contain important information about travel and scheduling. If you are interested in debate, but not sure if you want to join, we will also be holding a student informational meeting immediately after school today, August 17th as well to let students know what debate is all about. You can also stop and see Mr. Garst in room B208 or Mr. Adams in room B109"

Reminder for College Possible Students:  This class does not start until Sept. 8th (after Labor Day).

MULTICULTURAL CLUB:  The Latino Leadership will now be called the Multicultural Club.  We are moving forward to include all of the cultures represented at RHS.  Please join us for an ice-cream social on Wednesday, August 19th, at 3:30 p.m. in the Media Center.  

Outdoor Education Student Counselor Application forms are now available in the main office.  The deadline for turning in the completed applications is Friday, August 28th.  These positions are open to 10th - 12th graders only.  Please turn in your completed application to Mrs. Mackey in the Activities Office.

Activities/Athletics
Volleyball tryouts will be today - Wednesday with final team decisions on Thursday night. ALL girls must have a physical on file with the athletic office in order to try out. There will also be a parent and player meeting on Friday, August 21 at 6:00pm.
