Students: Please note the following rules regarding leaving the cafeteria during lunch and going to the library:
- Students must have pre-approval from the library to leave the cafeteria and go to the library during your lunch shift. This will be a privilege, behavior will be monitored and the approval can and will be revoked if necessary.
- Students MUST have their IDs and show the lunchroom supervisor in order to leave, no ID no permission. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Absolutely NO FOOD is allowed out of the cafeteria. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- NO student will be allowed to leave the cafeteria during the last 10 minutes of the lunch shift, regardless of approval or not.
Next Tuesday August 25th HOSA (future health professionals) will have their first meeting right after school in room G120! Please join us for snacks, fun, and info about our HOSA year! Look for our officer team on Tuesday if you have questions (they will be in uniform and looking sharp: Nikki Drosche, Miranda Johnston, Adele Bourke and Monica Cervantes) We hope to see you then!
FRENCH CLUB - Are you a francophile? Do you love everything French? Join the most popular club at RHS once a month! First meeting Friday, August 28 from 3:30-4:00 p.m. Enjoy a crêpe bar, French music, and vote for this year's officers! You must sign up individually for this event with Madame Oglesby in A102 to reserve your crêpe! Candidates running as officers should create a poster and be ready to give a short speech on why French Club should elect them!
F.A.I.R. is Ralston's diversity club. Join us at our next meeting Monday, August 24 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in A102 for popcorn, MTV's latest social documentary "White People", and a discussion about racial stereotypes. Officer elections will be held the following Monday, August 31.
Fall Driver Education will be September 19th though November 7th. Registration will be held in the commons on Tuesday, August 25th and Wednesday August 26th from 7:00 - 8:00pm. Registration forms with more information are now available in the office.
The French Tutoring Center is now open! Visit A102 any Wednesday from 3:20-4:00 p.m. for French homework help or to simply practice your language skills!
Calling all French 4 and 5 students! The French Tutoring Center is looking for upper-level French students to peer-tutor. You can earn community service. Need to be available at least one Wednesday after school per month. Applications are due this Friday! See Madame Oglesby or Madame H if interested.
RHS Readers Book Club will have our first activity on Monday, August 24th: Dee and Sara from Baright will be here to join in on the fun. It will be a Literary Scavenger Hunt. Wear your running shoes because we will have you and your team running around the building finding the answers to some novel questions. The winning team will win prizes, and we will finish the event with some ice cream treats. Start time: Promptly at 3:30; the hunt will begin at 3:45. We should be done by 4:30. Any student interested in participating in Book Club this year is invited.

How brave are you? Did you know that more people fear public speaking more than death? If you have what it takes to brave the seas of social construction think about joining speech team. Reminder for College Possible Students: This class does not start until Sept. 8th (after Labor Day).
Outdoor Education Student Counselor Application forms are now available in the main office. The deadline for turning in the completed applications is Friday, August 28th. These positions are open to 10th - 12th graders only. Please turn in your completed application to Mrs. Mackey in the Activities Office.
