Students interested in SkillsUSA, please attend the 5 min. meeting on Thursday, immediately after school in Room F015 (Automotive shop).
National Honor Society applications are available in Ms. Hartman's room before or after school in room B121. Applications must be picked up by August 26th, no exceptions. See Ms. Hartman or Dr. Boster with questions. 

SENIORS: It's time to start thinking about creating a design for your senior class T-shirt. Submit appropriate designs to Mrs. Weland in B120 or Ms. Mullen in B108 no later than Wednesday, September 7th.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will kick-off the year with our first meeting THIS FRIDAY MORNING @ 7:15AM in the Library!!  Everyone is welcome!  Come to meet friends, have bible study, and eat Panera bagels!  See Mrs. Behrens with questions.
Quiz Bowl will meet today (Wednesday 8/24) at 3:30 in B121. Come for your weekly dose of fun and trivia!! If you have questions, see Ms. Hartman. 
Do you see yourself as a leader?  Do you want to get involved in a great student organization that will teach you leadership skills and offer you opportunities to meet other students like you all over Nebraska and this country?  Come learn about FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America)!  We are meeting next Thursday, September 1st in F007A (Mrs. Krist's room) at 3:30pm.  If you have ever taken or are taking any FCS class you can be a member of this student organization.  Questions, just ask Mrs. Krist. 
SENIORS BOYS: Are you interested in being a Mr. RHS Contestant this year? If so, you need to meet during homeroom on Thursday, September 1st in Ms. Mullen's room in B108 for an informational meeting.

LATINO LEADERSHIP COUNCIL:  You're invited to attend an Ice-Cream Social today, August 24th at 3:20 in the Media Center.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Weaver.

Those students interested in being in DECA should plan to sign up and attend the 3rd Annual DECALYMPICS social activity this Saturday, August 27th from 2-5 p.m.  The event is filled with fun outdoor activities.  Come find out more about DECA.  The next regular meeting isMonday, August 29th at 6:30 p.m.  Those interested in being an officer of the leadership team should prepare to give a speech. We will begin fundraising at this meeting. Sign up outside of room A120.

GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) will meet after school on Thursday, August 25 in B226. Contact Mrs. Rector with questions. 

SOPHOMORES:   Order your class shirt and show your RAM pride.   Turn in your orders to your homeroom teacher or Mrs. Prochaska by Friday, August 26th.
It's a pizza party!  Spanish Club invites you to join us today, Aug. 24 at 3:25 in A104.  Come and have some pizza and hear what we have planned for the year; activities, outings, movies, city events, community service, etc.!  Sign up outside of A104 and bring a friend!  
RHS READERS Club will have our first lunchtime meeting of the school year today, Aug. 24, during both lunches.  Grab your lunch from the cafeteria and meet us on the sunny east end of the Media Center.  Our new reps from Baright, Justine and Trina, will be here to meet all of you.  We will have a get-acquainted activity, then discuss some of our favorite reads of the summer.  Come see what we are all about!

RHS READERS will have our first after-school activity this Thursday, August 25, right after school.  All students interested in being in the club should come to the library by 3:30 for a literary GooseChase, followed by refreshments.  Come see what our club is all about!

Are you interested in social justice issues and activism? Ralston's FAIR Club will be hosting our annual Creating Inclusive Communities Workshop on Friday, September 2nd. This all-day workshop will teach you about becoming an advocate and an ally for all students at Ralston, and how you can help the Ralston and Omaha communities grow to be safer, more tolerant places for people of all types. Please see Mr. Garst in B208 ASAP, as there are limited spots available. 

Fall Driver's Education will be from September 10th through October 29th on Saturday mornings.  Registration forms with more information are now available in the main office!  Registration will be held today  from 6:30pm - 7:30pm in the RHS Commons.

Senior Hosted BBQ!  Friday, September 9th at 5:00pm until the start of the football game.  All classes are invited, cost is $3.00 but Seniors get a discount of $2.00 BACK!  Your ticket includes a hot dog, drink and chips.  See any senior class officer, Mrs. Weland, or Ms. Mullen to buy a ticket or with questions!  You must bring your student ID with your ticket for entry and the class with the highest attendance wins a prize!  GO RAMS!!
Students interested in applying to be an Outdoor Ed Counselor:  Please pick up an application now in the main office!  You must be in grades 10, 11, or 12 only.  These are due back to the Activities office by Friday, August 26th.  Remember, you must have teacher recommendations, do not wait until the last few days to start the application!

Looking for something fun to do after the Friday Night Football season opener versus Beatrice, August 26th?  Fans of all ages are invited to come check out the "$5 Taco Bar" sponsored by the Football Tailgate Committee in the RHS cafeteria.  There will be food, music, friends and fun from the end of the game until 11:00pm.  

Community Service Opportunity
Volunteer opportunity on Sunday, September 11 at Holy Cross Church at 48th and Woolworth.  We need volunteers to run game booths for our annual Irish Festival.  We need volunteers from 11 am to 6 pm.  You can volunteer for a 2 hour shift or you can sign up for more.  Contact Amy Haase at 402-553-5169 or email at  Make sure to bring a service hours sheet with you to get signed while you are there.

Wildewood elementary is looking for volunteers to help run the different activities at their Back to School Carnival on Thursday, September 15th.  They will have games, food, inflatables and prizes.  If you are interested in volunteering please click on the following link:
