THE MULTICULTURAL CLUB will meet on Wednesday, August 26th, in the Media Center after school.  Please come prepared to nominate officers.

It is a white out at Plattsmouth and Mr. Smith is sure there will be more at other events the rest of the year.  Get your white out t-shirt in the ram shack for $10....or buy a white out and black out shirt for $15 and save money.

Today, August 25th HOSA (future health professionals) will have their first meeting right after school in room G120!  Please join us for snacks, fun, and info about our HOSA year!  Look for our officer team today if you have questions (they will be in uniform and looking sharp:  Nikki Drosche, Miranda Johnston, Adele Bourke and Monica Cervantes)  We hope to see you then!

SENIORS:  It's time to start thinking about creating a design for your senior class T-shirt.  Submit appropriate designs to Mrs. Honz in B206 or Ms. Rowley in B220 no later than Wednesday, September 2.  

The first mandatory meeting for the Ralston high school debate team will be after school on Wednesday, August 26th in room B208. Students interested in debate and students who have already signed up for debate should be at the meeting. This week's meeting will last about 30 minutes and will include vital information about practice and tournament times. Please see Mr. Garst in B208 or Mr. Adams in B109 if you have any questions. 

Quiz Bowl will meet Tuesday and Thursday right after school for 30 min. in B121. If you like trivia and competition, come join the fun! Everyone is welcome. If you have questions see Ms. Hartman (B121). 

The first DECA social event:  The DECALYMPICS is this Saturday starting at 3 p.m.  Stop in Room A120 to sign up, reserve your spot and get directions. This is open to all students who are enrolled in a business course this year and want to be in DECA.  Any questions, see Mrs. Hinchcliff-Smith.

On Wednesday, August 26th RHS READERS BOOK CLUB will meet during both lunches.  Be sure to stop by and get a pass beforehand, then bring your lunch to the back of the library near the window.  The theme for our first discussion will be The Book I've Read More Than Any Other.  See you there!​

The Ralston High School Gay-Straight Alliance will be having it's first meeting on Thursday, August 27th after school. The GSA is a club dedicated to providing a safe space for all students to come and discuss LGBTQ issues. The goal of our first meeting will be discussing group norms and voting on an important GSA matter. If you have any questions, come see Mr. Garst in room B208 for more information. 

FRENCH CLUB - Are you a francophile? Do you love everything French? Join the most popular club at RHS once a month! First meeting Friday, August 28 from 3:30-4:00 p.m. Enjoy a crêpe bar, French music, and vote for this year's officers! You must sign up individually for this event with Madame Oglesby in A102 to reserve your crêpe! Candidates running as officers should create a poster and be ready to give a short speech on why French Club should elect them!

Do you LOVE food?  Do you LOVE to cook? Do you LOVE to eat?  Do you LOVE to hang with cool people?  Then come join us for the Culinary Club's first meeting of the year.  We will meet in the Kitchen Lab F102 on Wednesday August 26th at 3:30 - 4.  We will discuss the upcoming year.  We will need officers for the club.  It is an enjoyable leadership opportunity.  Come join us!  Questions?  Ask Mrs. Krist in A107. 

If you are into Fashion and all that goes with it, come check out the Fashion Club on Thursday August 27th at 3:30pm in Room A107.  This will be a short meeting until 4pm.  Questions?  Ask Mrs. Krist in A107.  

REMINDER: Fall Driver Education will be September 19th though November 7th.  Registration will be held in the commons today, August 25th and Wednesday August 26th from 7:00 - 8:00pm.  Registration forms with more information are now available in the office.

The French Tutoring Center is now open! Visit A102 any Wednesday from 3:20-4:00 p.m. for French homework help or to simply practice your language skills!
RHS Readers Book Club will have our first activity on today, August 24th:  Dee and Sara from Baright will be here to join in on the fun. It will be a Literary Scavenger Hunt. Wear your running shoes because we will have you and your team running around the building finding the answers to some novel questions.  The winning team will win prizes, and we will finish the event with some ice cream treats.  Start time:  Promptly at 3:30; the hunt will begin at 3:45.  We should be done by 4:30.  Any student interested in participating in Book Club this year is invited.
Reminder for College Possible Students:  This class does not start until Sept. 8th (after Labor Day).
Outdoor Education Student Counselor Application forms are now available in the main office.  The deadline for turning in the completed applications is Friday, August 28th.  These positions are open to 10th - 12th graders only.  Please turn in your completed application to Mrs. Mackey in the Activities Office.

Community Service Opportunity
We are looking for High School Volunteers to assist with our carnival at Wildewood Elementary, September 11th 4:30-7:00.  We have opening for serving food, working games and assisting with inflatables.  We also need assistance with set up and clean up.  If you have any questions please contact Tara at

Senior poster pictures for the gym will be taken this Friday during homeroom.  Senior athletes need to get the uniform top from their coach for whatever sport they want to be photographed in.  You need to return the top immediately after pictures (unless it is a fall sport of course).

Rams Under the Lights is TONIGHT at the stadium.  Come out and watch all sports perform on the turn.  Admission is free!  Dance, Cheer, the band, and twirling club will also perform.  Show your school spirit by attending tonight.  It all starts at 6:30pm.

BOYS BASKETBALL - If you are planning on going out for boys basketball this year you need to attend the meeting in B122 (Coach Jackson's room) on Friday Aug. 28th at 7:30 a.m.  If you can't attend please see Coach Jackson.
