SENIORS: It's time to start thinking about creating a design for your senior class T-shirt. Submit appropriate designs to Mrs. Weland in B120 or Ms. Mullen in B108 no later than Wednesday, September 7th.
NHS applications are due to Ms. Hartman no later than Friday at 3:30pm in B121. No exceptions

Do you see yourself as a leader?  Do you want to get involved in a great student organization that will teach you leadership skills and offer you opportunities to meet other students like you all over Nebraska and this country?  Come learn about FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America)!  We are meeting Thursday, September 1st in F007A (Mrs. Krist's room) at 3:30pm.  If you have ever taken or are taking any FCS class you can be a member of this student organization.  Questions, just ask Mrs. Krist. 
Quiz Bowl will be Wednesday after school in B121 from 3:30-4:15. All are welcome. Come for your daily dose of trivia and fun! See Ms. Hartman with questions. 
SENIORS BOYS: Are you interested in being a Mr. RHS Contestant this year? If so, you need to meet during homeroom on Thursday, September 1st in Ms. Mullen's room in B108 for an informational meeting.

Juniors and Seniors, do you find yourself with extra free time due to MAP testing?  Stop in the RHS Media Center and try your hand at chess, backgammon, checkers, Blokus, or a jigsaw puzzle.  Come hang out in our Makerspace.Calling all future attorneys!  Please see Mrs. Weland if you would be interested in attending a program regarding the legal professions.  Room B120!
Senior Hosted BBQ!  Friday, September 9th at 5:00pm until the start of the football game.  All classes are invited, cost is $3.00 but Seniors get a discount of $2.00 BACK!  Your ticket includes a hot dog, drink and chips.  See any senior class officer, Mrs. Weland, or Ms. Mullen to buy a ticket or with questions!  You must bring your student ID with your ticket for entry and the class with the highest attendance wins a prize!  GO RAMS!!
College and Career Center
Runza is hiring.   They hire 14/15 year olds, although stores usually limit the number of 14/15 year olds they have on staff.   Apply online at or in person at 121st & Giles in LaVista.  Work Permits are available for 14/15 year olds, please see Mrs. Lewis.

Community Service Opportunity
Volunteer opportunity on Sunday, September 11 at Holy Cross Church at 48th and Woolworth.  We need volunteers to run game booths for our annual Irish Festival.  We need volunteers from 11 am to 6 pm.  You can volunteer for a 2 hour shift or you can sign up for more.  Contact Amy Haase at 402-553-5169 or email at  Make sure to bring a service hours sheet with you to get signed while you are there.

Wildewood elementary is looking for volunteers to help run the different activities at their Back to School Carnival on Thursday, September 15th.  They will have games, food, inflatables and prizes.  If you are interested in volunteering please click on the following link:


BOYS BASKETBALL - If you are NOT out for a fall sport and plan on playing basketball this winter please attend a meeting in Coach Jackson's room (B122) Wednesday, August 31st immediately after school.
