Outdoor Ed Counselors have been selected and the list is posted on the bulletin board in front of the office.  There is a mandatory meeting on Thursday, September 22nd at 7:30am in the back cafeteria.

Attention Junior Class Officers: Don't forget there will be an officer meeting Thursday at 7:40 in Mr. Uhrmacher's room

๐Ÿฅ Want to see one of our illustrious administrators get a pie in the face? ๐Ÿ˜„
Stop by the office  and put a donation in one (or more) of their collection buckets and the administrator who has the most money at the end of the day on THURSDAY will get a pie in the face on Friday during the Pep Rally!  All the donations will go to our R-Pantry!

French Club will meet this Thursday at 3:30 in A101. We will be holding elections, eating some French snacks, and there will be a short activity! Any questions, you can ask Mme Sivertson in A101. 
No Quiz Bowl this week due to a tournament. See you next week on Sept. 28th at 3:30 for trivia and fun! 
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will meet this Friday morning in room B122 @ 7:15 AM!  Come for Bible study and Krispy Kremes :)

If you are looking for community service hours and a chance to serve others, join Key club.  We will meet Thursday after school in room D152.
HOSA members:  The HOSA Experience at Bryan Hospital on October 18th is a great opportunity and an exciting day.  The cost is $20 for HOSA members and $30 for non members.  There will be workshops in the cadaver lab, the nursing simulation lab, emergency medicine and more!  Space is limited so see Mrs. Ziegler ASAP for a registration form and more details!  We are taking a bus!
Spanish Club meets today after school for MOVIE NIGHT!  Bring a snack to share, relax and watch a movie about El día de los muertos!  Room A104 - Movie starts at 3:25

GSA will meet on tomorrow, September 22 from 3:30 - 4:30 in B226. We will finalize our plans for Ally Week. Everyone is welcome! See Mrs. Rector if you have questions. 

Students you should have received your school photo packages in homeroom if you had purchased one at check-in.  Please check with your homeroom teacher if you did not.
Jack Martin Photography will be back here on Wednesday, October 26 for re-takes and/or make-up photos.  They'll be here during 3rd period lunches.  Order forms are available online under the Document section at the RHS web page.

Speech team is looking for students who are brave, daring, and willing to have fun! Speech Team WILL be having the ANOTHER INFORMATIONAL meeting on THURSDAY, September 22nd AFTER SCHOOL for all students who plan on competing for the 2016-17 school year.  See Mrs. Adair in room B218 for further details.There will be pizza provided. 

FCCLA will meet this Thursday, September 22 in F007A from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.  Come check out what FCCLA has to offer!  Anyone who has ever taken a FCS class in either middle or high school can join.  We hope to see you.  Questions?  Ask Mrs. Krist. 

RHS READERS Club will meet today during both lunches.  You need a book club pass to attend.  The library will be closed to all other students during lunch on Wednesday.  Please remain in the cafeteria for your dining experience on Wednesday.

NHS is sponsoring a clothing drive this week! Bring in items of gently used clothing and be entered to win a prize each day! NHS students will be collecting items before school and during all 3 lunches. You can also bring items to the Homecoming game on Friday

SENIORS: It's time to start thinking about your class motto. Please submit appropriate ideas to Mrs. Weland in B121, Ms. Mullen in B108, or any members of the Senior Class Officers by Friday, September 23rd. 

The first debate meeting of the year will be today 9/21 after school. All debate students are expected to attend this meeting. Reminder: If you are not in the 1st period class and you want to travel this year, Wednesday meetings are required. 
Outside Date forms for Homecoming are available in the main office.  These forms must be completed and returned by TOMORROW, September 22nd. Homecoming dance is Saturday, September 24th.
Homecoming is this week! September 19-23. The theme is, Wizard of Oz, "There is no place like Ram Nation". We highly encourage you all to dress up!! There will be prizes for the best dressed daily!
Tickets will be for sale this week and will be $10 during lunch (in the lunch room), homeroom (reps will be out and about in the halls) and after school (in the commons). 
The Homecoming dance will be from 8:00-11:00. You MUST have your I.D. to get into the dance. If you do not, you will not be let in!

โ€‹Picture order forms for the Homecoming Dance are available in the office. If you pay $25 you will receive a DVD that will include all of the candid photos from the event, plus your portraits, in full-resolution along with a personal photo release. 

PSAT-NMSQT Openings for 10th & 11th Graders
You are invited to take the PSAT/NMSQT test Wednesday morning, October 19 at the Ralston High School.  Your test score provides entry into the National Merit Scholarship Corporation competitions, scholarships and free access to MY COLLEGE QUICKSTART KIT to help explore majors and careers.  
The cost of the test is $15.00 and must be paid when you sign up.  Please sign up with Mrs. Barker in the Counseling office, and pick up your Official Student Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT test.Contact Mrs. Athow, if you have questions.  Limited spots available.

Volunteer Opportunity
We have a couple opportunities for volunteer hours at Meadows.  We have parent teacher conferences on Wednesday, September 28 from 1:30-7:30 p.m. and Thursday, September 29from 3:30-7:30 p.m.  We need volunteers for child care during those times, and your dinner will be provided.  
We also have an event on Wednesday, October 5 from 5-6:45 p.m. which we also need two students to do child care.  Your meal will be provided that evening as well .  If you are interested, contact Ms. Schroeder at Meadows.....lisa_schroeder@ralstonschools.org
College and Career Center
If you are interested in becoming a police officer, fire fighter, chef, musician, doctor, dentist, engineer or architect, you need to to come to the college/career office.  You can sign up now for opportunities that will benefit you in the future.  Hurry, because some of the programs are beginning this week!

Campus Visits: If you would like to visit a campus, you will need to get a
