The DECA meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Monday Sep. 28.  in Room A120.  Officer voting, CRLC in KC registration, competition review, locker decorations and Find the DECA Diamond are on the agenda.
FAIR meets todayMonday, September 28, from 3:30-4:00 p.m. in A102. We will be writing nomination letters to faculty to attend January IncluCity camp, setting monthly discussion topics on social justice issues, and enjoying snacks!

HOSA members (and non members)  please get your signed permission form and money to Mrs. Ziegler ASAP if you are planning to go on the October 20th trip to Bryan College of Health Sciences in Lincoln!  Space is limited so we need to get registration in quickly.  See Mrs. Ziegler if you have questions or need a permission form.

This week is Banned Books Week, a time when libraries promote our freedom to read.  Stop in to the RHS Library and participate in our Banned Books Week Identify the Banned Book Contest.  If you correctly identify the books, you can win BBW swag.  Hurry!  Supplies are limited!

Attention RHS debate team members! There will be a change in the practice schedule for the upcoming week. We will be meeting on Wednesday the 23rd as normal. On Monday the 28th, we will have our first Monday practice for PF and LD debaters. Additionally, the mandatory meeting we normally have on Wednesday will be moved to THURSDAY OCTOBER 1ST for next week only. This is because the National Speech and Debate Association will release the topics for our first competition on Thursday morning. Come ready to discuss and participate. 

Fashion Club will meet this Wednesday the 30th in F102 to make tie-dye shirts.  Please bring your own white cotton shirt - new or used.  We will meet from 3:30 - 4:30 pm.  If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Krist.  

FCA will meet next Tuesday morning @ 7:15am in the Alumni Conference Room! (We will not meet Thursday night)  Invite your friends!  Please see Mrs. Behrens if you have any questions.
Ralston High School has joined with other schools from across the nation and Japan for the Somewhat Virtual Book Club.  Join us on October 7th either at RHS or at Google Hangouts on Air for a discussion of I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson.  To ask questions or to sign up, stop by the RHS Library.
Student council will be hosting the 1st Annual Glow Run!! This will be a fun 5K run/walk for all Ralston students, staff and family! Spread the news to friends and family! Details are below!

Ralston Yoga Club is offering a FREE yoga class to students and staff on Thursday, October 8 from 4:00-5:00p in Ralston High School Media Center!
Bring yourself! Bring a friend! Get your yoga and relaxation on!
Homecoming ticket pre-sales will start THIS week! They will take place today - October 1st. Students can buy a ticket & a t-shirt  for $20. Their names will also be entered into a drawing for gift cards if they participate in the pre-sale!This deal will only be good for this week. Items cannot be purchased separately. If you want them separately you must wait until next week. 
The week of homecoming will be Oct. 5th-Oct 9th ticket prices will be $10 and t-shirt prices will be $15. 
The homecoming dance will take place at the high school on Saturday, October 10th. The dance will start at 7:30pm and end at 10:30pm.  All students attending the dance must bring their school IDs. They will be checked with their tickets

Outside Date Forms for Homecoming are now available in the main office.  The completed forms are due back byThursday, October 8th.
College/Career Center
Attention sophomores, juniors & seniors!  Our next CAREER SPEAKER will be here on Thursday, October 8, during homeroom in Lecture Room C.  Come and listen to Holly Barstow talk about her career in the Financial Planning field.  Pizza will be provided.  You must sign up with
your ADVISOR in homeroom.  Only the first 50 students will be admitted.
Juniors & seniors:  If you are interested in attending the October 26th Campus Visit to UNL & Nebraska Wesleyan, you need to sign up with Mrs. Barker in Guidance.  A completed permission slip is required and due back to her on Monday, Oct. 19.  Attendance is limited to 60 students.
