Homecoming tickets are on sale now!  They will be sold before school, during ALL lunches and after school.  Tickets are $10 each.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Ksiazek.

Ralston students and staff you certainly did "roll up your sleeves" for the blood drive!  Our total goal was 90 units of blood and we gave 93!  The goal for double red cells was 12 and we collected 22!
HOSA and the Medical Sciences Academy say "thank you so much!"
The next DECA meeting is this Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m. Room A120.  Those students interested in attending the leadership conference in Minneapolis, MN should attend for information on registration.  Registration is limited and on a first-come first serve basis.  Members - please check your gmail.
Come see the Mr. RHS pageant tomorrow night at 7:30 in the theatre.  Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door. 
National Honor Society will meet THIS week.  Current NHS members please plan on attending one of the two meetings offered.  We will be discussing the upcoming year, induction, service learning projects and more . The meeting is in B208 on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. OR Friday at 7:30 a.m. Just a reminder that NHS meetings are held the 2nd and 4th week of every month. If you are unable to attend, please contact Ms. Stark ASAP as per the attendance policy.

National Honor Society Applicants, you do not attend the meeting this week; however, remember your applications are due on Friday, October 3rd by 3:30pm in their entirety. Please come see Ms. Stark in room B208 to check on teacher evaluations on Wed/Thurs of this week. It is your responsibility to make sure they are all turned in. Thank you in advance.
RHS Readers Book Club will meet this Friday during all three lunch periods in the back of the Media Center.  The theme for this meeting is sarcasm/sass, chosen by Ms. Sara (who has been known to be a tad sassy.).  If you have questions or need a pass, stop by the media center.  Bring a friend and you could win a book.  See you there!

There will be a Homecoming tailgate and Pep Rally on Thursday night starting at 5:30. Tickets are available for $3. They will be sold during homeroom and lunch. Freshman and Sophomore class officers will be coming around to explain the Human Hamster Ball class competition that will be taking place during the Pep Rally. 

Jostens will be here on Wednesday, Oct. 8th - Friday, Oct. 10th during lunch shifts.  They will accept orders during this time.

Students, Jack Martin will be here on Tuesday, October 14th for picture re-takes.  They will be here for all 3 lunch shifts.  Order forms are available on line under "Parent Access", "Documents", "2014/2015 Student Check in".
Outside date forms are now available in the Main Office for the Homecoming dance on Saturday, October 4th.  These forms must be turned in by this Thursday, Oct. 2nd.
Juniors - PSAT 
A reminder that the PSAT will be held on Wednesday, October 15th. Juniors will either be testing with ASVAB or the PSATthat morning.  Many of you have signed up to take the PSAT test, but still need to pay the $ 14.00 to reserve your spot. 
The deadline to pay is October 1st.  
Please come to the Guidance Office with your cash or check and you will receive your Official Student Guide with information to prepare for the test, online resources, and a practice test.
Please know that you MUST pay prior to October 1st in order to take the PSAT test!  The test is open to outside students on October 1st.

The Red Cross will be having another Blood Drive at the Applewood HyVee on Q street on Sunday, October 19th from 8:00am - 1:00pm.  Register for an appointment at www.redcrossblood.org.

College/Career Center
Calling all students!  Our Career Speaker Series is back!!  All grade levels are invited to hear Mr. Adam KlinkerRalstonRecorder editor, on Thursday, Oct. 9th.  Come to the back of the Media Center during homeroom and enjoy great information (from this RHS grad) + Free  PIZZA! You must sign up  with your homeroom teacher.  Space is limited, so don't delay!
