Community Service Opportunity
Volunteers are needed to help with the local food pantry associated with Messiah Lutheran Church and Harrison Street Baptist Church.  The Food Bank for the Heartland delivers 2-3 trucks of food to the parking lot of Harrison Street Baptist Church and volunteers are needed for the following duties:  moving food by hand cart from the truck, unloading to the distribution tables, helping clients, carry food to client's car, tearing down boxes, and clean up.  This project takes place on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
Please contact:  Sue Simmons at OR call #402-590-6623.

We Are the Power of ONE
Be a part of the World Record for the largest Spaghetti Feed being held on Sunday, September 21st., 11-3,  at the Ralston High School.  Volunteers are needed to serve food, help carry plates, clean up.  In a project that hopes to serve 20,000 people, many volunteers are needed. All proceeds from the dinner go to the Food Bank for the Heartland.  You may go online to find out more about this project at  Register to volunteer at that site or contact Kimberly Bailey at #

We need 16 juniors to be pals/mentors to some of our students with disabilities.  They will have lunch (usually catered pizza provided), go on outings and excursions with their buddy and also receive community service for this.  Any junior interested should see Mrs. Athow.  Students must be in good standing academically and behaviorally to be involved in the program.

College/Career Center
Attention Juniors and Seniors:  The first college representative will be here this Friday, Sept. 5th at 9:00 in the College/Career Center.
